12/04 Confirm booking $150 deposit for job on 12/12 at 09. Job = dis/reassemble Bed, frame, spring, & transport few items. 12/09 I was contacted by Mr. Stacy that I was overbooked, moved to 1-3pm 12/12- I'm in Aberdeen at site @ 11. I call Mr. Stacy at 1310 he says they are at another job, will arrive at 2pm. I receive call at 1607 (after my time slot) from Ryan, they are 8 mins away. The 3 men, run into an issue with the bed frame, the bolts are stripped, I gave them the go ahead to continue moving other items to truck. They sincerely expressed concerned and apologized for not having the proper tools for this issue. We move to site 2 in Cockeysville, they unload quickly and set up what was necessary. Ryan told me to call Mr. Stacy about the bed situation and charged $320, I added the additional 20% tip for the men due to no damages to property despite the odd challenges they faced with the site. At 18:48 Mr. Stacy told me he can deal with the bed that night or the next day. I express I have conflict in school schedule, I am available that night so this can be over with. I drove ( 45-54min) and called Mr. Stacy 20mins before reaching site 1. Although the bed was being successfully taken down by the other associate, it was clear Mr. Stacy was annoyed and held an attitude towards his partner. I felt uncomfortable as I found this unprofessional Back and forth, partner compromise by saying Mr.Stacy can go home while he makes the delivery by himself. They load frame on truck with no intentions of delivering that night after I tell them I have a conflicting schedule, they tell me to figure it out the next day. 12/13- 12/16 I have made 4 attempts, 2 calls, survey, and reached out to corporate. I was told by dispatch that Mr. Stacy is the owner, and no emails will be made available to me. No attempts to be resolved from them. What I experienced did not align with company values, my home and self is respected as a customer.

I had the College Hunks Movers come to my house on August 14, 2022 to pick up furniture for donation. The movers themselves did a great job. I asked for a receipt for these donations for tax deduction purposes and was promised it would be emailed to me shortly. When the receipt did not materialize, I began calling to request it. Over the past two weeks, I have made four calls to College Hunks main number, listed on the website, and been reassured each time that the receipt would be sent immediately. It never was. I begin to feel defraudedif I wanted it to go into a landfill, I would have hired a cheaper service. P.S. I am aware that not all items may be accepted by a charity and that this company has no control over that, but there was brand new quality furniture amongst the haul, and if it was rejected I would like to know who rejected it and when so that I may be reassured this company didn't just throw it into a landfill without the attempt to donate it that they promised.

On July 11 I had College hunks move me from my apartment into a new apartment about an hour away. I have used this company multiple times and have never experienced any issues. The first issue that I observed was that they wrapped none of my items in safety wrap, and did not even protect the glass top of a table and a mirror. When we went to the new apartment, they tore my leather sofa so badly that the nails came out of the back along with several other scraps on my L sectional sofa. Then, on my dresser there are scratches so deep that it has damaged the actual wood and paint. My wooden TV stand also had multiple marks on it that damaged it enough to scrap paining and actual wood chips off.I heard one worker state "oh yeah we really messed up that one" after placing the piece in my apartment. Another item that was severely damaged was my full sized mattress, that appears to have been dragged on some sort of rough surface so hard that there are several holes in the bottom big enough it fit my entire hand into along with dark black scrape marks. After the company left, we saw that there was a huge piece of our dressor attachable mirror that was chipped, but conveniently placed in a part of the room that we did not see it until after the team had Left. I have tried contacting the manager, Stacy *****, multiple times but to only get his voicemail. The actual call center is telling me there is nothing they can do but to keep calling Mr. Moses. I am extremely disappointed with service and am unsure why my items were not taken care of since I had to place a hold fee that covers materials that wrap my items of $150. If I do not hear from the team soon, I will be looking at taking legal action because my furniture is damaged beyond belief and I am so disappointed. The moving cost $882.50 and I am seeking reimbursement for my damaged items.

During my 8/24/2021 move, (which the movers showed up 4 hours late to) my basement sheetrock was damaged in my old home along with my brand-new hardwood floors in my new home, which I didn't notice until 3 days after the move because none of the movers said anything to me about this. I immediately created damage claims by calling the main number (claims ******* and *******) and have left messages at least 15 messages for the franchise owner Mr. Stacy ** regarding my concerns. Once I finally call Stacy's cell phone October 28, he answered my call and came out with 2 of his employees to assess the damages. During his assessment he indicated that he would need about 2 weeks to find someone to do the repairs and that this wasn't something that would happen overnight. I have also reached out to the local county Harford County Community Mediation Center (File# XX-XX-XXX) since I've had so many challenges with communication and follow up with Stacy however that was unsuccessful. I would like to have my property fixed and I never imagined this would be such a nightmare experience. I am no longer interested in communicating with Mr. M. as I question his integrity due to my experience of him and the way he handles business. I am requesting to be refunded for the services paid (screenshot attached) and my repairs to my home floor and Sheetrock are covered,

I paid for the services of College Hunks to move boxes from the office to the storage facility. The job was scheduled for the 21st of August. I paid a refundable (as long as it was 3 days prior to the scheduled job) deposit of $150. The AMEX was immediately charged. On the morning of the 18th of August I contacted the company to cancel the move and to get the deposit refunded. I was told that although I cancelled in the timeframe that they, at customer service, did not have the capability to refund my money and that the request needed to be sent to the local office and that I would receive the refund within 3-5 business days. Since that time i have called them 5 times about the refund. It has been almost a month and every response that they give me is that the local office is working on it and that maybe they forgot to do it all of the other times. They also will not transfer me to their local office, they have not provided any refund transactions numbers, and have been uncooperative.

Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2021/11/26) */ In order to book a job, the customer must make a deposit of $150 to reserve the time and date for their move. This deposit is fully refundable as long as the customer cancels the move at least 72 hours prior. In this case, the customer cancelled on August 18th and the job was scheduled for August 21. Technically, the customer was just outside of the 72 hour window; however, I am willing to refund the $150 if this claim is withdrawn. Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2021/12/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) The deposit was taken and the appointment was scheduled in the 2pm hour of the 17th for a job on the 21st. The cancellation happened at the 9am hour on the 18th of August, well outside of the 72 hours. The timing of the cancellation is not being disputed because it was already established on the 18th that they would process a refund. We're not being done a "favor" by them sending a refund since they verbally gave me the runaround for days and then weeks. As initially stated, we were promised a refund and it never happened, which was a two-fold issue since they kept getting rude and nasty about it. The company's response is futile because they have previously promised a refund and it wasn't received. The complaint isn't just about the refund but also regarding the unprofessional conduct, the lies, the rudeness, and the runaround.
