To: BBB Company: ******* **********, ****** **** ***** ***, Used Cars From: ****** ****** Re: Refund I am requesting a refund of my $1000 deposit for 2010 Toyota Tacoma VIN: *****************. I will not be purchasing the vehicle. I made the $1000 deposit on Jan 31, 2024 and called and spoke to Ann the next day on Feb. 1, 2024 and requested the refund. She told me "no" and that it's non refundable. I feel that a refund is in order, simply on good business ethics, especially when the request was made only one day later. I have read and researched numerous complaints and reviews about this company from customers not receiving vehicles as promised, vehicles that were unfit to drive and operate, vehicles that required extensive additional repair, rust, among many other complaints. I have also read many complaints through the BBB. The vehicle I was interested in has been sprayed with truck bed liner spray to cover extensive rust underneath the car. This is a deceptive and unsafe practice. I am simply requesting my $1000 deposit, since I will not be purchasing the vehicle. Respectfully, ****** ****** vehicle website: ****************

Sent them a deposit for a car. They sell themselves as "Digitaf" on ebay, then send you paperwork for a company called "Used Cars". When you look up their address, this company comes up, as well as Trident Automotive DBA Master Auto Group LLB. Attempted to stop the sale of the car and they will not send the deposit back. I'd like to see a fraud investigation go forward against Annie and this crew as they use different names to hide their actual business reviews.

      Dear Richard ********:

Better Business Bureau (BBB) received a complaint about your business. BBB understands that there are two sides to every dispute, and we have not pre-judged the validity of this claim. This is your opportunity to address the concerns of your consumer and to rebuild the trust that first brought you together. BBB seeks to help businesses resolve their disputes, whether they are accredited with BBB.  The complaint was submitted on 8/10/2023 and was assigned an ID of *********

How do I take care of this? ***BBB note:  BBB has received previous communication that your business does not wish to respond to complaints from our office.  However, if this status has changed, please see information below, showing how to respond to the complaint.*** Your BBB is requesting a written response to this complaint within the next 7 calendar days.  Your prompt and professional response greatly enhances the chance for a successful resolution and will further your reputation as a BBB Accredited Business.  If you received this complaint via email, the fastest and easiest way to view and respond is to simply click on the “Respond to this Complaint”, link located on the left.  All responses will be copied to the complainant.

What should I include in my response?

Please provide an explanation of the events from your perspective and/or a concrete plan for how to work toward a resolution. Remember that the more factual information we have about the case, the easier it is for all parties to develop a full understanding of the situation.

BBB may edit the complaint or your response to protect privacy rights and to remove inappropriate language.

What will happen if I do not submit a response and what can I expect to happen next?
If you do not respond promptly to this complaint, it may be closed as Unanswered.  This may result in a substantially lower rating with BBB, which could adversely influence potential customers. Once we receive your response, we will forward it to your customer and ask them to tell us in writing whether your response resolves their concerns.  If they continue to express dissatisfaction, the case will be reviewed by BBB staff to determine if the remaining concerns warrant an additional response.  The overall standard applied in the review process is: Did the company act in good faith, and do everything that could be reasonably expected, or is responsible for, to resolve the issue?

We look forward to helping you and your customer work toward an amicable resolution.

i was told by dealer there was no issues. When the truck arrived and a short inspection the following was found, The frame was completely covered in rust. The floor of the bed was rusted all the way through. interior lights, radio and instrument cluster light were inoperable. many other components of the frame were covered in rust. I feel the company should refund at $2000 of the money to repair some of these damages to make the truck safe to operate. the photo sent was covered with a rubber mat. When I stepped on it my foot almost went through the hole. no support. Other rust was painted over with black paint. the damaged area shown will have to be cut out and replaced by a body shop to make safe. The frame will have to be sand blasted to remove all of the rust. the electrical issues will have to fixed at a ford dealer

Purchased a 2003 Ford F-350 on Ebay from the seller for $9500 . In addition paid a $499 doc fee and $350 to have it shipped to me in NJ on October 23, 2022. The vehicle arrived on October 28 , 2022 and I went over my purchase on October 31 , 2022. Upon going over my vehicle I discovered the total undercarriage to be extremely rusted and falling apart. I contacted the merchant to advise him of my findings and was told to take it to a local garage to have evaluated. I did just that only to be told that the repairs would exceed $7,000 and in all reality the vehicle was not roadworthy and not worth putting any money into it. I reported these findings back to the merchant and after a couple of days I was told that they would refund 80% or $7,600 and at my cost had to ship the vehicle back to them. It cost me $88 to have the vehicle evaluated only to be told that's the best we can do. It's just bad business!

Prior to purchasing a van I called & spoke with Ann *********** about the van. I was promised the van was in great working order, with no issues & would be safe to drive across country and the A/C worked. I purchased it on May 9 and had it shipped at my expense($2500)to me in Idaho. It arrived on 5/26. Upon visual inspection of the van the tires were dry rotted, the rear brakes were rusted and in pieces, the front brakes were repaired incorrectly; the drivers side rotor & pad had been replaced, but the passenger rotor hadn't causing brake fade. The A/C doesn't work at all. I registered the vehicle, replaced the tires & brakes. I took the van on a short trip 6/16. On our return 6/19 I noticed a creaking noise. I crawled underneath & found catastrophic rust damage; this was NOT disclosed on eBay, or during my phone call. The rust has eroded the drivers side subframe so severely it is barely hanging on. There is more severe rust on the bumper and passenger side. This van is unsafe & isn't road worthy. There were images of the vehicle on eBay but none showed the front end, they were intentionally left out. If I had seen an image of the rust, or they had told me the truth when I called them, I would not have purchased. 6/20, I called Ann Kostopoulos & informed her of the rust. I emailed her manager details and images. 6/21 Ann Kostopoulos called & said that her manager would buy the van back from me minus 20% buyback fee & ship it to him at my expense($2500). The van was purchased for $12900+$499 dealer fee+$2500 shipping+new tires+new front and rear brakes+$828.44 taxes and registration in Idaho. If I accept I would lose nearly $9000. I asked if he would help pay for the repair & he refused. This van was not as advertised on eBay nor as promised during our phone conversation. I would like a refund $12900+$499+$2500 shipping fee+$828.44 tax/title/registration in Idaho=$16727.44 and I would like the van removed from my property at their expense.

Purchased a 2010 BMW 135i on ebay for $15,000Car was falsely advertised. Vehicle needs an engine. Seller was definitely aware of this and did not disclose it. Seller claimed to be a reputable dealership and stated all of their cars are gone over by a mechanic and serviced before being listed on ebay. They are selling cars on ebay under different names and scamming people. We found this out the hard way as did many others at this point. They shouldn't be able to keep getting away with this.

Trident Motors needs shut down. The customer reviews are beyond horrible. The business is cars that are not safe and misleading customers on eBay with fake names to disguise his bad intentions. I purchased a vehicle through eBay that I later found out was actually through Trident Motors. The ad featured and detailed a vehicle with super low miles in great condition. The pictures were extremely misleading as the vehicle was not even close to how it was advertised. This truck I bought was a rusted out mess on the underneath. My local mechanic, as well as, a Toyota Certified Tech both inspected the truck. Both the mechanic and Tech reported the vehicles frame and brakes lines were so rusted out that it should not even be on the road. Their exact words were the truck was a death trap. The frame is so rusted that you can stick your fingers in the actual frame and it will just peal apart. Trident motors did not mention this damage or provide pictures. Instead, they advertised the truck as a great low mile vehicle. Trident Motors also uses deceptive practices in its sales. They advertise under an ebay user name with positive feedback. When they move on to the next vehicle they change to another user name. This place has horrible feedback on your site. I can't understand why this is allowed in your state. Trident Motors will not return calls after the purchase.
