I was recently invited to celebrate Diwali at one of my co-workers homes. I was really excited about the invitation and wanted to get Indian attire to wear to the celebration. My co-worker told me to check out this store. I am a plus size woman so I was really hesitant but I called and the owner (Heena) informed that they had clothing in my size. The outfit that was offered to me was a long tunic top and pants. The outfit was pretty however I felt like it was cheaply made, similar to linen material. I purchased the outfit for $153. When I checked out, I was asked for my telephone number and received my receipt via text, never a hard copy. I thought that was really weird but at the time did not think that I would need to return it. I immediately contacted my co-worker to let her know that I purchased the outfit and she asked for a photo. I sent her a photo and she asked how much did I pay for it.... she then told me that I could have gotten the same outfit off of ****** for about $40. Sure enough I looked at ****** and similar outfits were posted for about $40-60. The next day I contacted the company via messenger and inquired about the return policy wanting to know how long I had to return the outfit for a full reimbursement. I received a response back that there would be no refunds. This is a lot of money to not be given the option to get a full reimbursement. I messaged the owner a few times requesting to return and get my money back but she was not willing to. There was nothing at the register stating that all sales are final. When I informed the owner of this, she sent me a picture on the wall near the dressing room. I never received a hard copy of a receipt stating this policy either. I then contacted my bank and they opened up a dispute claim, this is bad business. It is so sad that customers are treated this poorly and I get that they are a small business but this is completely unethical. I will share my experience on various platforms.
