      Offered and purchased the protection plan, which would cover the items. The protection plan does NOT cover anything as stated and is a scam. When speaking to the representatives from Customer Service, "Stacy" (which was not the introduction name of the representative) stated that the item is discontinued and cannot be serviced. The items were purchased less than a year ago, July 7, 2023 and having issues with all of them falling apart. I also called the protection plan, and spoke with Jesus, which informed me the same and that he could assist with offering me an out-of-pocket solution with a discount code. The protection plan is a scam to solicit more out of pocket expense at the time of purchase. The furniture and its protection plan at Marlo Furniture is NOT worth the time or money spent. Buyer be aware. DO NOT buy furniture at Marlo. You will be taking a risk.

      My experience at Marlo was utterly disappointing. I purchased a bed , mattress and night stands. The bed and was delivered and part of th night stand. I was told to expect delivery of the night stands to the store by October 17th. After a week I contacted the store and was not given an answer over a period of three days. I came to the store on 11/05/2023 and was told to ask for a manager. Another employee acting as a manager looked at the order and stated that the night stands would arrive at the end of the month. I expressed my displeasure with the lack of communication and the fact that half of the night stand was delivered . I asked for a refund and for the store to take the remaining pieces of the night stand. I was then told the parts belong to the warehouse. I asked why would they deliver half of the night stand and it takes time. I was told customers are given a window of 12 weeks. I stated that I was given the date of October 17 and now the time frame has changed. They said they would not take the part of the night stand back and I would be charged a restocking fee. This is the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO TO MARLO FURNITURE IN LAUREL DONT DO IT AT ALL.

      This is my first terrible shopping experience. When I bought the dinner table here, the salesperson always advertised a 1year warranty. But when I bought it back, it came with the wrong screws. I called the store to request the right screws, they asked me to call customers service.After many conversation during 2-3 weeks. My issue still didn't get any response and fix.My request is simple, I just need the 6 right screws to put the table parts together.Why it's so hard. Later I was be told: 1,They only can help me to submit the ticket , nothing they can do , because of you picked it up from the store. 2,You don't have 1 year warranty because of you picked it from the store. 3,I can't return it even it doesn't work, because of I picked it up from the store. I am so mad,nobody told me. I came to the store and tried to get reasonable answer. The manager told me : 1, If salesperson didn't say if you pick it up from the store you lose warranty and service. you should ask him, even you don't know the warranty and service are different . 2, You should readd the rules before you paid it. See the rules in the attachment. I even didn't see there is rule in the back of the receipt that time. 3, You might install wrong, put the wrong screws. (I installed the Ikea big closet by myself before). 4. You should inspect when you picked it up. I don't know how does it work. it's whole box,I have to open it over there and do the inspection, then put together, tie it up again. You should check every screws carefully. then you can find the screws is wrong. All the customers responsibility. Choose the store carefully. If you must to shop in this store, don't listen to the salesperson says, be sure to read the terms clearly before you buy it.

      July 1st 2023 @ 2:30 . Waldorf Maryland We saw the sofa we wanted clearly advertised for $1000 (floor model/clearance whatever) sitting next to a Love Seat advertised for $2,300.00 that we didn't want. We asked the salesperson to find out what the delivery charges were. Apparently he asked the manager and the manager stated that we could not buy the sofa for the clearly advertised price and had to also buy the loveseat. BAIT-AND-SWITCH

      We bought a couch there and when they delivered it, the delivery people(one of which looked to be 15 years old) wanted us to sign a waiver saying that if they did damage to the house or couch, it would be our fault. They then said they wanted to do that because it was a tight fit. We became suspicious and did not accept the couch. The packaging was not at all removed and the drivers took it back to be sold to someone else. Now, the couch cost $2700 and Marlo is saying they will only refund us $1800. It’s totally unbelievable. I am starting to think Marlo is run by mafia. How can they sleep at night knowing they rob us and are holding us hostage? They will only give us store credit for $2700 but $1800 for refund. What kind of sadistic business practice is this? We removed the old couch(same size as new one) the day before delivery so now we do no have a couch and Marlo is causing stress and holding us for ransom. It is so troubling that we have businesses like this. They need to be stopped.

      Marlo Furniture sold me the loveseat with defected recliner mechanism and refused to help provide technical assistant claiming that since I picked up the loveseat myself instead of paying them to deliver. Horrible place to buy furniture from.

      Horrible Experience!!! surprisely the bed head couldn't fit my stairs way to the up level room so the delivery guys told me I can call the store after a day or so to get an exchange for a different bed. After speaking with someone from the store on the issue, i got a call from someone from their store saying they have a specialist who is an expert in getting the bed fit . The guy who Marlo hired came at my place and did all the measurements and said he can get it in my room on the upper level with no damage to my property or the bed 100%. I even try to say, are you really sure about this and he said yes this is what he does on a daily basis and that he's a professional. On the day of the second delivery, the other guys came and when they saw the place they both said this is not going to fit. I then ask them for the expert that Marlo hired to get the bed to fit . They said guy is coming then I saw him enter my home. This guy that said he's guaranteed me 100% with no damage to the bed or my property was all scam. This story of mine is very long and frustrating but I want people to know who Marlo furniture is. Long matter short this guy damage my wall and even as I speak the bed has not been fix yet. This guy that Marlo hired to deliver my bed saying he's an expert lie to them saying I give him the go ahead to damage my wall and they believe him. I called several times and even send an email. Please be very careful with these people because I am stuck with 7k plus damaged bed to pay with me having to fix my own wall because Marlo refused to listen to me as their customer but instead believe the guy that they hired. So now I am still waiting on the third-party guy to come to fix my new bed which is not even two months yet.

      I will not refer anyone to this store whatsoever, the sales stuff appear to be somewhat helpful , only because they want to transact and get a commission, once you pay your money the rest of the service is awful. The delivery is so bad, the delivery contractors are very rude they try not to deliver your furniture so that they can be paid twice for redelivering your furniture. And if you ask for a refund because your furniture was not delivered they will take 30 percent of your purchase price. I would rather pay more for Bobs furniture than pay cheaper at Marlo.

      The company touts a 1 week delivery window for their items plainly on their website and hides cancellation fees at the bottom and presents that information nowhere during the purchase of wares. Upon purchase of my furniture set I was given no option to select a delivery date and no notice of when it was to arrive. Being as though I consider myself to be a patient enough person I decided to wait for information, this was 10/12/2022. I have since received 4 emails not one of them being a receipt of sale which they state would have a link to their terms of service. Of those 4 emails I received one that stated my furniture was ready for delivery and just needed to have a date scheduled. I received that particular email on 11/04/2022, I called in just a few days later to schedule the delivery of my purchase only to be told that not only do they not have my furniture I will have to wait another month to receive another delivery notification. Obviously flustered I requested my money back for the purchase as another month wait for a delivery window seemed a bit absurd. This is where I was first informed of their cancellation practices. 10% of the purchase is undeservedly awarded to this sham of a company if they show their negligence and incompetence in bungling your purchase. when informed of this I obviously became irate and was told that it should have been listed on the receipt emailed to me. The receipt that I never received from this scam of a company, I was then told that I would have to wait 24-72 hours for them to contact me to request my refund (this is funny for another reason, will explain shortly). I was contacted today 11/14/2022 and simply told the terms of service were listed at the bottom of the site. I looked them up to see that if a return isn't done within 72 hours of purchase they will keep 10% of the purchase price. So if I have to wait 72 hours for them to contact me after I purchase something it sounds like they can steal 10% of what I paid.

      I got a furniture which was a reselect in a hurry, noticed the trim/base of the sofa/love seat was glass after i had already made the purchase, looked ok on delivery, 2 weeks later the was cracks on the glass frame without any physical impact. I contacted Marlo customer service and i was told cosmetic damages are not covered if reported after 72 hours. I had bought from Marlo a protection plan with GBS. I contacted GBS sent pictures of damages but they are requesting for a tag and serial number which didn't come with the chair as confirmed by a marlo laurel store associate. I contacted marlo customer service by email 9/14/22 to work with GBS and see how my claim can be moved forward without the requested tag/serial number but no responds and no one reached out to me from GBS either. I just spoke to a GBS representative and I was told no updates available after more than 2 months of filing a claim. Very poor customer service. This is very heart broken considering the furniture set cost over $8000, and the broken glasses taking away from its beauty and that of my room. No one seemed to care. Renie
