      I stopped by Renn Kirby of Frederick MD on Monday Feb. 26th, 2024. I saw a red 2019 KIA Sportage with 66,000+ miles for sale in the lot. What I found odd was none of their vehicles had sticker prices displayed on the window. Instead, they have barcodes that you scan for the information, provided you have the app on your phone. So, I went inside to talk with a salesman and decided to use the salesman (Mike) who opened the door for me. I asked the price and he looked it up on his computer and quoted me $17,285. It seemed like the high side of fair, but I took it for a test drive anyway. I also went into a parking lot and tested all the features to make sure everything worked. Great news everything worked satisfactorily, except there was this very small opening inside the driver side door handle. Odd, you could see what looked like electrical equipment inside. When I got back to the dealership Mike asked me how I liked the vehicle. I said “I liked it”. Then he wanted to proceed to crunch the numbers. We go inside to crunch #’s and he shows me a work sheet already printed out with the starting price of $20,120. What? You quoted me $17,250 before the test drive and now it’s $20,120 when I get back. He apologizes, goes back to his manager and gets a new print out that shows the same price $20,120 but shows a discount of -$2,835 to get back to the quoted price of $17,250, like they’re are doing me this big favor. Or were they trying to cheat me? Come to find out, since the time they have had this car (Dec, 2023) it was never priced higher than $19,495. The price went up and down many times until it settled at $17,285 on Feb. 25th 2024. ? My experience with the Renn Kirby sales force in Fred, MD can not be trusted. Do not purchase the 2019 Red Kia Sportage without the button being fixed. The electronics in the door handle are exposed to the elements.

      I purchased a suv from this establishment 7 months ago (11/29/2021 and I have nothing but problems with it and they refuse to fix it. I was never told it had 4 other owners and an accident before I bought it. I have had to replace the headlight, the transfer case, the couplings, now the cruise control, the check engine light is on and we did a diagnostic on it and it states that two sensors are out, and now I have to replace 4 rotors and the front and rear brake pads which has cost me a fortune when they should have informed me of these issues before selling this car to me. Plus they told me that **** the warranty company was not going to fix my car for the warranty issues. He called and literally disrespected me and I'm going to write a letter to Mr. Shawn K**** (the owner) so he knows of what his employees are doing to his company. Please send them a bad review so everyone can see what kind of a company this is. No one should be treated this way.

      Unfortunately, our Relationship with Ms. C******* had to be terminated due to the experience that staff had to witness every time Ms. C******* would come into the establishment. ALOT of yelling on Ms. C*******'s end never helped. We do recognize that the fact that Ms. C******* had some issues with her Vehicle. However when issues arise with a USED vehicle... we and all Dealership in North America must follow certain procedures when applying for coverage with a 3rd party extended warranty company. In most cases the coverage would take on items or components that fail due to defect. In any case that Ms. C******* did not receive coverage. It would be due to an item that was either not covered on her plan. Or the failed item was a wear & tear item. There is NEVER Coverage on wear & Tear items. I also asked Ms. C******* to please pay all money owed to Renn Kirby before filing another claim. 4 months after a claim and no payment. On may Occasions I have tried to educate Ms. C******* on her Extended Warranty and hopefully make things easier for her to better understand how it works. I have always been met with Yelling and Verbal altercations. We do not want Ms. C******* as a Customer. And we wish her the best in getting the repairs shes needs in a more peaceful manner.
