This occurred 12/31/21 at 1147. I called and got a quote for tires and Don S. the manager and he quoted me for 4 new tires and said it would take no more than 3 hours to complete. When arriving to the store Don up sales me on a tire the same size but an all terrain tire instead of an all season tire ($1050.74).We both went to my car because I was worried the bigger tread would not fit on my truck. We both agreed that the front driver side wheel was out of alignment. We both agreed that they should start by putting the driver side front wheel on to make sure it fits. After waiting over 5 hours. I get a call from the shop saying that it's ready. As soon as I start driving the truck the front right tire is pushing up against my bumper and prevented me from turning right. I went back into the store where there was only two more employees left, for they were about to close. I informed the employee about the issue and he came out and looked at it and noted, that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. Then the Employee informed me there was nothing that could be done until Monday, so then I was stranded at the shop. I had to call my brother for a ride home. I am a charge nurse at state run infusion center. That I had to cancel my shift due to not having transportation, and I also had a client that asked me to Officiate their wedding that I was planning on interviewing the couple that I also had to reschedule. Being that it was New Year's Day no car rental place in the area was open so I wasn't able to go to my clients interview or attend my nursing shift. On Monday Mike the owner calls me and reported that they just took my bumper and bent it out in order for the wheels to fit, and that I could come pick up my car. When asked if he was going to do any service recovery on this problem, and I informed him that I had to reschedule my clients and had to cancel my shift. He said no. They still charged me for the alignment. That was obviously still wrong.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/01/14) */ We can agree that Mr **** came in for tires on his truck. This truck was stated to our employee that it had been in a accident prior to him getting the vehicle. Mr **** requested the same size tire that he had on the vehicle. The same size tire no matter the tread pattern (AT or NON) would at most have a variation of 1/32 to 3/32s. Mr **** and Don were able to go back and forth about tires and came to a agreement as to availability on tires for that specific friday which was New Years Eve. No upsell on tires was attempted as only that tire was able to be done that day in that time frame. Mr ****'s vehicle had the bumper on the driver side that was bent in due to a impact that was causing the bumper to hit the tire by a 1/4 of a inch. A alignment was performed which could have made that margin smaller then it was prior to service but everything was within manufacture spec when completed. Mr **** came in to the store on the monday after and demanded a 200$ discount just for being inconvenienced. Mr **** was offered a gift card for dinner on us at a local restaurant as a apology for the inconvenience which he did not take. He at the point just said he wanted to pay his bill and "Get the **** out of here". At this time we are not offering to do anything as the problem with Mr ****'s vehicle was preexisting to it coming through our shop. We did bend his bumper out so the tire would no longer rub it. The bumper was pushed 1 inch back on the driver side not the passenger **** that was stated in his complaint.
