Hi have repeatedly tried to cancel my gym membership here, they say you have to come in in person even though the reason I'm canceling is due to covid and not feeling safe going to the gym! They said you can also write a letter which I did and got no response, I just want my membership canceled and the last 6 months refunded since it has not been safe and I was prevented from canceling. Please help.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 14, 2022/03/11) */ Hello, I am sorry to hear about this but unfortunately we can not do cancels over the phone or through email because we have to have some form of a document to keep on file that includes your signature. That is why we have members send in a letter if they can not come in person to sign. and we have not received a letter. If you call the gym directly one of our manager would be glad to help you out! The gym already has my signature on file from when I tried to cancel with Compel months ago and I already mailed my letter. It is not my fault if they did not get it. There is also such a thing as an electronic signature? Sens me a docusign and I will sign electronically. Your company has been calling me incessantly harassing me and leaving voice-mails and I absolutely WILL NOT PAY YOU ONE SINGLE DOLLAR so you might as well stop bc I changed my bank so you will never get new payment info. forcing people to come in person to cancel a gym membership during COVID is ABSURD AND SHOULD BE ILLEGAL.
