On 10/29/21 I was asked by my friend to pick up a carry-out dinner order she had placed. I was unaware she had ordered and paid for it ($49.07 in person. When I picked it up, I was told she had not paid and that I would need to pay, which I did. ($50.18 I had some difficulty with the tip screen, so as a result, the total amounts are slightly different as mine includes a $1.11 tip). We realized we had been charged twice when I got to her house. After dinner, I returned to the restaurant and spoke to a manager, showing him both receipts. I was assured that "corporate" would issue a refund to my credit card within a few days. I returned a week later and spoke to another manager, who claimed she had been notified that Corporate had already credited Louise's credit card. However, there is no record of it on her statement, nor could the credit card company locate a credit when she called them. We both returned to the restaurant on two more ocassions and each time we were told we would get a refund, and each time "Corporate" has insisted $49.07 was refunded to Louise's credit card on Nov 2nd or 3rd which has never happened. One of us needs to be refunded or proof provided that one of our accounts was already refunded. We both have always enjoyed eating at Bob Evans many times over the years, always with great food and service. But we are disconsolate to be overcharged by paying nearly $50.00 twice for the same order. Consumer Response /* (2000, 16, 2022/03/11) */ March 4, 2022 I received a full refund to my credit card from Bob Evans, so my case has been successfully resolved. Thank you very much BBB and Bob Evans. It will be nice to eat there again.
