Contracted with the owner of Fresh Coat Painters of Harford County on 8/25/2021 for painting services in my home. The owner requested a deposit of $314.28, which I paid on 8/25/2021. We agreed to a service date of Monday, October 18, 2021, which required significant preparation of the area to be painted (moving of furniture, etc.) Fresh Coat Painters did not show up on the scheduled date. I attempted to contact the office number and received a message that indicated the number was disconnected. I was able to reach the owner via cell phone and he indicated he forgot to put the date on his calendar, but would reschedule for the next day, or two days later (after he consulted his schedule). I made several attempts to contact Fresh Coat Painters again and have a firm date scheduled (via phone, email and text) to no avail. On October 20, having not been able to contact Fresh Coat Painters to reschedule, I left a voicemail and sent an email requesting that the owner cancel the service and return my $314.28 deposit within 30 days. I have made follow up attempts to have the deposit returned. Fresh Coat Painters has not responded to emails or phone calls on this matter.
