      The movers broke a piece of glass, which covers the top of a "credenza" type piece of furniture. New condition. I was told that Budget carries insurance, should be 'No problem" It has been a run around of stories, hit or miss text messages, unanswered phone calls, ever since. They moved me April 22, 2023. Hanover Glass & Mirror (who gave me a replacement cost of $145.00) have also tried to reach Rick *******. All I want is the $145.00 which Rick said he would pay over the phone. Then his card was declined, etc. etc. Rick ******* was the driver, and was "head" of the show directing the moving guys. Rick ******* primary # ###-###-####, alternate # is ###-###-####.

      I am rejecting this response because: 

      I would like for them to be honest, own up to their wrong-doings and get the problem fixed at a different kia dealership, preferably hanover or Owings mills location. I do not feel comfortable taking our cars to a place where we've already had big issues with customer service and dishonesty

      I hired this moving company. They showed up on time but the manager went to pick up an all wood pantry that I just purchased for $478 and literally ripped it in half in front of me. When I asked him why he did that he said this is a two piece. I said no it is not. He snapped back with yes it is. As the dows are sticking up and the wood is now cracked he proceeds to tell me that it's from Ikea. I said no it is not and I have the receipt for it from the furniture manufacturer. He said well you can glue it back together. He then said well here is our policy we pay .60 on the lb so we will give you $60 as my piece of furniture lays in the middle of the floor torn apart beyond repair. He refuses to let us talk to his boss/owner and continues to tell us that the wood furniture is made of particle board which it is not. We contact the owner ourselves who repeats the same as his worker and then puts our furniture back in our house and leaves. Horrible experience and I am out of a piece of furniture that costs $478 and $70 deposit and I have no movers.

      Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/28) */ The desk was made of pressboard type of material and was assembled together by customer. Our contract terms specifically states that our company will not be held liable for this type of furniture. Furniture piece came apart on mover at pick-up location as he tried to turn it on its side to place it on a dolly (normal moving procedure). Customers (husband & wife) did not respect nor honor contractual liability exclusion. Furthermore, two movers that were onsite had heard customers talking to each other about how they would just cancel their credit card for payment of services once move is done so that company would not get paid for services rendered. So crew leader canceled the move as a result of not honoring terms & conditions of contract as well as for their statement of canceling credit card to avoid paying for services. C) Carrier shall be excluded from any and all liability against loss or damage caused by or resulting from: normal wear and tear; weak/loose construction, fabric or hardware, particle, fiber, wafer or press-board or Ikea type furniture; delicate, brittle, or fragile items of any kind including but not limited to lamps, pictures, fine art or paintings, statues, vases, glass/slate/marble tops or shelves, consumable or expendable items; acts of God including but not limited to rain, wind, floods, tornadoes, hail, snow, ice, sleet and sun damage; defect or inherent vice of the article; e.g. structural integrity, or any susceptibility to atmospheric conditions.
