This company came to our house to provide a quote. The representative told us it was a family owned business and he was a part owner. He came without a computer and took hand notes on what we wanted. He was not able to provide a quote and wanted to come back in 2 weeks. In the meantime we found a company we preferred, was more timely and honest about expectations, and who had been in business longer. Platinum Exteriors contacted my husband and I the day he was supposed to come back in the morning to remind us (his second time complaining about the drive) he had an hour drive. I cancelled the appointment at 930am or so. The appointment was for 430pm so he didn't have to drive all the way out. At 5pm he felt obligated to text my husband a nasty comment and imply we missed out on him giving us a zero dollar quote, like I'm going to believe that. So not only unprofessional but also an a$$hole. Great family representative I have the screenshots but here is a transcription of the texts. Ben from PE: hey Eric, have an hour drive to Woodbridge. Please let me know if anything comes up today at 4:30. Otherwise I'll see you then. 748am (I messaged him at 930 to cancel) Ben from PE: your wife had the common courtesy of replying to me. It's very easy. Just say cancel appointment sir. Could have saved me a lot of time and effort customizing your door that would have cost you zero. Good luck to you. You've been removed from our list. 502pm Me: you came to our appointment unprepared to give a quote. We gave you two weeks to produce something. Ultimately we had reservations based on that behavior, which is our prerogative and ask can be seen. Here, was an accurate prediction. We canceled the appointment. Both of us shouldn't have to inform you twice. To suggest we are missing out on a free door is ludicrous. We will be happy to post your professional behavior here on every review site possible.
