In January 2022, I contracted the labor services of J&A Concrete and Construction to help me renovate part of my new condo. Not only did they walk out on the job, leaving the following items undone: stairs, kitchen - including no water connection), fireplace (not working), trash not removed, but I along the way I also found out Edvin stole from me, and has done permanent damage to the fireplace, putting myself and my entire building at significant risk of fire. As for the stealing - I had Edvin listed as my contractor to pick up the flooring I purchased from **************** (in Glen Burnie). He picked up the entire order of floors, and then, without my knowledge, returned 13 boxes of flooring and used part of my credit for materials for other than my project. I only found out because I had to return an unrelated item to that same store at a later date. documentation attached. As for the fireplace, Edvin offered to move it approx 10 inches to the left and 6 inches higher to better accommodate the modifications in the living room. I repeatedly asked him if he could do the job, and he confirmed that yes, it would be easy to do. He did move as planned, but in the process, he cut the vent piping and used tape to re-connect them. After having had problems with Edvin in my kitchen, I called in **** company to conduct an inspection on the unit, and the technician told me (in front of Edvin) that the unit was a fire hazard and not up to code. I then proceeded to order vent piping to to get the unit fixed. Today, when the technician came in to install it, we found out that Edvin had lied to both of us, having cut the pipe not once, but 3 times, which deems this unit unusable. Since this unit is approx 20 years old, finding the proper pipe to exchange and fix it will be more costly than purchasing another unit altogether, not to mention the extensive time it may take to find pipe (if any still exists). This entire project has been nothing short of a nightmare!
