I scheduled a cleaning with Molly Maid earlier in 2022. I was quoted an hourly rate when scheduling the appointment and even informed them that I wouldn't need the whole house cleaned. The young ladies arrived who spoke no English and cleaned the parts of the houses very well in less than 3 hours. The manager had to be called to confirm payment because I paid what was quoted to me. The manager changed the hourly rate and never disclosed it until the phone call. Then on top of that I had them only clean 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and one bedroom. I explained that even if he changed the hourly rate he was charging me for the whole house .I ended up paying the ladies a $40 each tip on top of me paying the original quote of 120 per hour minus a "discount by the manager". The manager tried to argue that I should've received a call confirming the cleaning 24 hours in advance as well as the pricing. I never received a call prior to the cleaning nor was told of the price change. I only received a confirmation of my booking with the details of my cleaning for my home. I used that as the confirmation. If the price changed then I should've been told upon arrival but unfortunately the ladies sent did not speak English. Again, to me this is business owner issue and not a customer issue. Fast-forward to January 6, 2023. I received q gift certificate for Molly Maid. When i called to schedule service, I was told they could not service me because of failure to pay which is false and now will result in a wasted gift certificate. I paid but the manager wanted me to pay a different rate and for less house cleaning. The manager at the time was a male but when I called today I spoke to a lady who said she had always been the manager. At this point I am deserving of 2 things 1. To have my gift certificate honored at my residence 2. Remove the "Do Not Clean" message from my account at Molly Maid.
