A debt that I was unaware of was sent to a collection agency late last year. I visited Fulton Family Dental Care at the beginning of this month to learn about the debt and was told it was a result of an insurance claim rejection in late 2022. My family has received, and paid for, care many times since the rejected claim and were never told about the outstanding debt. I've contacted the business multiple times and have been told multiple conflicting statements. First that I do owe the full amount and will receive a new bill, that I only owe part of the amount, and that I don't owe anything and the whole ordeal was a mistake. Despite realizing their error, the business manager has not contacted the collection agency and I'm still receiving calls and texts to collect that debt. I've left multiple messages for the business manager to contact me and help resolve the issue, but she has not returned any calls. The individuals who answer the phone always says they'll pass along my message but will not help in any other way. I'm truly at a loss of what to do next. If I owe something, I'll gladly pay. Either way, the debt shouldn't have gone to collection and I'd like FFDC to clear my name with the collection agency. Thank you for any help you can provide.
