My car broke down June 16,2022 and I had it towed to academy ford. I got a call the next day asking me what wrong and I was told it wouldn’t be looked at until that Monday is they had availability cause you needed a appointment. So they started too look at on that Saturday and the tech did finish until that Tuesday because the tech called out. I was told that one the issues were my battery terminals. And also it is was my transmission control module. It could also be my alternator. But they don’t know unless the part to replace my transmission control module is replaced. The transmission control module is a recall and they don’t have the part in stock and they probably won’t have it for a whole month. I was told they did not have and loaners available for me. Even though they have my car for a whole month. So I called fords customer service and they told that I would have to rent a car. They will reimburse me for the money. I have been renting a car since June 23 and it’s almost been going on for 2 weeks. I can’t afford it any more and I have to get work. I can’t wait a whole month for them to give me back my only vehicle. I can’t afford to catch any ***** cause it’s 120 dollars a day back in forth from work. Today is July 2 2022 and I am still with a vehicle or loaner.Business response

The part that we had ordered from Ford for this customers vehicle has been on National Backorder with Ford. This part is actually the number one back ordered part from Ford. According to Ford, the micro chips are the problem with the part availability. We were able to get the customers vehicle repaired and back to the customer without that part. The customer picked up her vehicle on Monday the 18th.
