Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2022/07/24) */ Was in contact with customer. Stated I would give a call when available to look at what needs repaired on job. Not even a week goes by and start getting 3 calls back-to-back from a private number that was the customer at the time I was having health issues as I told the customer. I also have a stepson that w was having health issues high fever hallucinations. And my daughter was born Monday 07/18/2022. I have no problem fixing what is wrong with the wall as long as it comes down to an issue with the walls structure. When I did the job, I hauled out an extra 55 ton of rock and ash that was behind existing wall and never was paid for. I also had to take down and rebuild a section of the wall tree times to accommodate his wants and was being interrupted multiple times while working being told what to do and how to do the job I went to school to install walls and patios and have the experience and knowledge how the blocks need to fit and lock into place. Customer wanted all the blocks to have the same amount is set back the block used in this job are "split faced" not every block is the same so some have more of a setback others have less depending on how the block split in manufacturing process so he was persistent for the block to be set back more than what the lugs were on the bottom of the block so the block could actually move forward until the lug stops them over time so when we had a freeze cycle the block would have moved out until the lug caught the block underneath of it. In turn causing the wall to move in spots. Like as stated I do want to please the customer and stand by my work as long as I can do the job with no influence from the customer on how it should be done.
