At the end of July/early August 2020, I took my car to ******************** tires to have right-side passenger window looked at bc it was stuck and wouldn't roll down. Mr. ******************** said it needed a new switch that come in sets so he would need to get two for total of $60. I asked him to check my struts because I was told they might be bad. He said he would look at them. When I asked him how much the repairs would cost, he said a couple hundred dollars. I asked him to provide an estimate before doing any repairs. He told me that he would but had some cars in front of mine so it would take a while. I agreed to leave my car there until he could get to it. Mr. ******************** called me during the month of November 2020 while I was at work. I stopped by his shop after to ask how much the cost of repairs would be and he gave me an invoice for $973.62. He never contacted me with an estimate before making the repairs. I ended needing to go on a payment plan. It took me a while to get the money together so the car sat on the lot for the rest of 2020 as I paid on it. The amounts I paid are as follows:12/23/2020 - $100 3/10/2021 - $500 3/26/2021 - $100 4/19/2021 - $150 1/15/2022 - $123.62 In January 2022, I called the shop to ask if there was a storage fee. Mr. ******************** said that I owed $500 for storage. He said to me "it leaks, it's not worth it, if I were you I would let it go because it's been sitting on the ground." During the month of February 2022, I made a $100 and a $300 payment towards storage. When I made the $300 storage payment, I went to check the car. The window was still broken and everything on the inside had mold and mildew on the passenger side of the car. Everything in the glove compartment was wet and ***** and the seats on the right side had mud on them. I also noticed that the hubcap he removed in 2020 was never put back on. I asked Mr. ******************** about the damages but he walked away and wouldn't speak with me. My daughter gave me this car. It is the first car I've ever had.
