My bill was 100% forgiven by the hospital that I received services from. I talked to an agent from Meridian and she stated that all they would need is that forgiveness letter to make my account balance null and void. I sent that letter over a month ago but am still getting threatening letters saying that my delinquent balance will be reported to crediting services. What type of nonsense is this?Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/21) */ This patient received a reduction for financial assistance and we are billing them for the balance due. I have attached the financial aide letter from the hospital and put an asterisk by the paragraph the patient has neglected to acknowledge. Specifically stating that because we are a separate entity from the hospital, they may receive additional physician bills and to contact those physician to see what aid they will honor or grant. We have granted the patient a reduction of 50%, leaving the balance due of $202. Which they are fully responsible for paying.
