One of our company trucks was taken to this garage because it is close to the technician's residence. The AC was blowing hot air and needed repaired. She dropped the truck off 8/2 at the shop, the day the AC stopped working correctly. The next day, 8/3 the shop said that it was fixed, and she could come pick it up. The receipt stated numerous things were done to fix it. The total for this work was $619.22 and was paid for by a credit card. Not even 24 hours later, the AC was not working again. I called the shop to ask if they could look at it again, and make sure it was working properly after paying almost $620. The man told me that they reattached a hose and put coolant in the truck. That is not what my receipt said from them that they did. They told me that would not look at it or attempt to fix it without charging for labor and more parts if necessary. They did not diagnose correctly, and just started replacing things. I tried to explain that it hasn't even been 24 hours, and we already paid for more than what was done to the truck, and he said it didn't matter, he was still going to charge if I wanted him to look at the truck. Completely disrespectful, and untrustworthy. I now have to find another shop to fix what was said to be fixed already and spend even more money on something that was to be fixed. I told the man that I would not be bringing our business back to them because they are not professional, and just want to take your money.

      Business response

      08/25/2022

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/18) */ On August 02, 2022 the customer brought in a 2011 Ford Ranger with the air conditioner blowing hot air. Our auto tech inspected the system & found the AC refrigerant discharge hose leaks refrigerant R134A, we installed a new hose, evacuated the system, added AC oil & leak dye & cleaned fan motor terminals, tested AC operation & road tested & released truck to driver. Driver called back later & said AC stopped working & we advised her to return to shop to recheck, she did not. Owner called & said she was stopping Credit card Consumer Response /* (3000, 10, 2022/08/19) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I, the operations manager, called the shop after they told the tech to bring the truck back in to make sure we were not being charged again (not even 24 hours later) to have them look at it again. When I spoke to the man at the shop, he did not tell me all of those things were done to the truck. So the phone conversation I had with the shop stated less "repairs" were made vs what I was charged for and what the receipt said. He then said it would be the regular labor rate to even take a look at the truck they already claimed to have "fixed". I informed them that I would not be taking the truck back there because I was not paying anymore than I already have, just to "look at it". It had not even been 24 hours and the AC was not working, I should not be getting charged again to "look at it" when they claimed it was fixed, and they charged me for "repairs" that according to the man I spoke with at the shop, they didn't not do. Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2022/08/25) */ The customer needs to return the truck to Green Valley Garage to recheck the air conditioning system. We will find out what the problem is at no charge. If we did anything incorrectly we will fix it no further cost to customer, anything minor we will correct at no cost to owner.
