I had a filling at their office in Oct 2022 and charged me $148.90.When the filling broke in two months' time, they couldn't get me another appointment for a month, so I had to pay another dentist to repair the filling. When I called them to get a refund for the original filling, they flatly refused.

      Business response

      02/13/2023

We are sorry to *********** had a problem with his filling. He called on December 15, 2022 stating he had a tiny chip in his tooth the size of half a grain or rice and no had pain. As with many dental offices, we were very busy at year end as many patients are trying to use their benefits for the year, as well as, closing for the holiday season. We offered *********** the next available appointment, which was on January 11, 2023. He was seen by Dr S*********** at his October appointment. Her notes indicate, "Advised that due to the nature of the fracture, this tooth may fracture similarly again and should be treated with a crown at that time."  *********** was informed at his appointment that the fracture in his tooth was large and may occur again. He chose to cancel his January 11 appointment and go to another office to have his tooth repaired. I understand that he requested a refund, however, he did not return to have his tooth evaluated. No office is going to offer a refund for any failed procedure without at least evaluating what had happened. We would have like to have to opportunity to correct the problem for ************

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because the dental office cannot blame me for cancelling the Jan appointment, since the appointment was almost a month away from the day I had a problem with the filling. I could not afford to wait for a month because the filling could crack more, my tooth under the filling could crack more, or germs could build up inside the crack and do further damage to my tooth during a month. If they could fix the issue for free within a few days, why would I pay to see another dentist?

      Regards,

      *************
