This place is literally the worst when it comes down to adopting. I seen them post a kitten on Facebook and I responded to it and she told me to apply because that kitten wasnt getting any applications. So I applied. I was so excited to get her. A couple days later i heard nothing and she said she Apologize for the delay because she had things going on. Which is understandable and I was told to wait a couple more days. I decided to visit this pet store that they are in partnership with because its close to me and I never heard of it and seen the kitten there. She lied to me and said that one of the fosters said I will be visiting today to see the kitten ( which was a lie because i thought the kitten was at a Foster's house and my intentionswas to buy cat supplies) but I was so excited because when I got there she just happened to be there and she opened the cage and let me see her. Then she told me i probably wont get that one but they have other ones for me to adopt. After that day still nothing. From the beginning she seemed rude and unprofessional . I decided to apply through two other adoption agencies because I wasn't sure if I would go through that again. They both contacted me and I got my adorable kitten. Didn't have any issues and they were friendly . I suggest for you to be ready for a lady to give you an attitude if you adopt here. Do not recommend.

We very much regret this unpleasant experience! It is absolutely our hope that whether through our little rescue or a different rescue everyone is encouraged to adopt an animal that needs a home.
Our rescue is very small, run by 2 women in their 'spare' time outside of full time jobs and families, with the help of a small dedicated group of volunteers and fosters. Unfortunately, sometimes this means that we don't have the ability to respond as quickly as the bigger organizations with a large dedicated staff or send out bulletins to our (also very hard working) volunteers about which cats have pending applications or interested parties . This sometimes results in either miscommunication or delayed responses.
In this instance, the cat in question Did have an unusual lack of applications, but as the saying goes when it rains it pours. We have a policy to process applications in the order they arrive to avoid favoritism and while we always encourage people to put in applications early (especially for kittens) in this case another adopter put in her application right before the applicant in this review.
It sounds like this was a 'perfect storm' of events where in our own lives we were processing a painful loss causing delays in our emotional ability to properly communicate and at the same time multiple applicants were applying for the same cat and this reviewer just happened to pop into the store on the same day that the cat was set to go home with the first applicant.
We sincerely apologize for any additional trauma our own person painful situations may have caused, and are very glad to hear you did end up adopting! For the thousands of cats that end up homeless every year, thank you!
