This complaint specifically regards the Odenton, MD office of USA Sleep Diagnostics. This business provides a substantially lower quality of care than is expected by requiring double the number of appointments expected. I've done 5 sleep studies at this location and had several superfluous provider visits where 60 second phone calls could have sufficed instead. Their providers are only available virtually in a small room where they remote in so you stare into a webcam and you have a sixty second chat with a pre-determined outcome and they bill the insurance $150. I believe this business, with a large portion of their patronage military/government workers, is scheduling charging and billing almost double the number of appointments necessary to milk Tricare and government insurance for many, many thousands of dollars.Business response

After making my inquiry with the BBB, one Mr. Wilson ***** contacted me on Thursday, 21 March, introducing himself as an 'administrator' for USA Sleep. In the ensuing unproductive conversation, he took a hostile and adversarial tone in which he talked over and around me for around 15 minutes before I begged off the call to go back to work. Highlights of the conversation were avoiding all responsibility for ineffective care by saying "we just do what the insurance companies tell us to do" and asking me whether I was an officer or not, as "We have admirals come in here all the time and they have no problem with the way we do things. They understand."
After this call, the following Monday, 24 hours before my final appointment with their company, as a measure of spite and retaliation for my BBB complaint, they cancelled my appointment and then blacklisted me from their business, dropping me, an active duty servicemember, as a patient from their medical practice, leaving me to have a several month gap period in care while the entire referral process spins up again and I have to wait for open appointments.
USA Sleep Diagnostics Mobile Care has the pettiest, most vindictive upper management I've seen. No reason was given for them dropping me as a patient, so it's abundantly clear it was due to my BBB inquiry, especially given the timeframe it happened inside of. They went out of their way to deny me medical care, the lapse of which has worsened my health.
