I purchased a vehicle from an Audi dealer in the DC area. They agreed to arrange transportation of the vehicle to Minnesota for me, and chose Odima Transport. The driver, who claimed to be the business owner arrived around 2 AM, and wanted to unload the vehicle in the dark. In doing so, he backed off the transport carrier at an angle, and put a sizable scrape in the paneling under the driver's side door. He assured us he would cover any costs for damages. I brought my vehicle to the Minneapolis Audi dealer, and they repaired the damage caused by Odima Transport. The repair came to $506.37. Upon contacting Odima Transport to secure payment, I was told he now felt the amount was too much, and he would not pay the entirety of the repair. I did not agree to a lower amount or discounted rate. He claimed money was tight at the moment, but if I submitted a request through Zelle, he would pay me when he could, noting he probably still would not pay the full amount. He also noted I did not need to worry, as he would not start screening my phone calls, which I found extremely suspicious. I did as he asked and submitted a request for payment through Zelle. The Zelle request automatically cancels after a few weeks. I have submitted a total of three requests for the repair, each have gone unanswered. The repair was completed on October 28, 2021. Since our last interaction, he has not answered any calls from my personal phone number. He did answer when I called from my work phone, but told me he would pay soon and now does not answer this number either.
