Very confusing communication from Gold's Gym in Olney, MD since the beginning of COVID and leading to the present (8/19/22) has led to their charging **** for training services never rendered in May, June, and July 2022. Shortly after March 2020, we followed advice from friends to freeze our accounts - gym for ****, training and gym for ****. We regularly renewed the freeze. At the same time, **** began to say in response to Gold's phone calls that she would NOT be returning to the gym in the future. She has this week learned that she did not say the magic word "cancel" nor was she alerted to the fact that gym and training were 2 different accts. The latest such talk was May 2022. **** was canceled in 2021. **** was eventually canceled from gym in July 2022, but not from training, which we discovered when we received **** bills. We went in person in June, July, and August to discuss. Constant turnover of managers. **** informed by Maria in July that ALL was taken care of. Then a bill for 3 months of training arrive in Aug. We contested **** bill in June and July, but discovered that Gold's contradicted us with **** and got its way. **** now frozen once again. ****'s last day ever for training was 3/20/20 so she is being charged for NON-EXISTENT SERVICES. Ollie D****, the current so-called mgr. said that he would assist abt. 3 days ago, to check back. NOTHING done. Today he told **** he was busy and just go ahead and "do what you have to do." Assist us? Obviously not. Other attempts, as well to deal with this. Email to Anne S***** on 6/15-out for surgery. When **** got call in May 2022, nothing said to her about need to further freeze account(s) in person etc. **** was left with the understanding that she had canceled. Call too late to remedy for either May or June. Never any written notification about new 30-day cancelation rule. Deceptive! July bill appears also to show a July training charge. Total submitted to **** by Gold's appears to be $840.

I received an email on 11/17/2021 stating my Gold's Gym membership will no longer be suspended/frozen. See below:************************* Wed 11/17/2021 12:32 AM Dear Matt,This message is to notify you that the suspension on your Gold's Gym DC Metro agreement will end on 12/01/2021, and your billing will resume on 11/19/2021. If you wish to continue your suspension, please contact your home gym as soon as possible to extend it.We look forward to seeing you back in our clubs!Best wishes,The Gold's Gym DC Metro Team ---------------------------------------------------On 11/17/2021 at 7:53 AM, I called Gold's Gym in Olney to cancel my membership. The representative told me I had to come in or email ********************************************** I can't come into the gym, I've moved from Olney. I emailed her immediately requesting cancellation. To this day I still have received no confirmation. I reached out for help on Gold's Gym's website and ******** page. All I was able to get was text messages and emails asking me to join Gold's Gym. To add insult to injury, ********************* has yet to confirm the cancellation, but she still sent me an email THIS morning asking me to join the gym. This is unacceptable and Gold's will need to compensate me if they end up charging me additional fees for continuing my membership after I've requested it be cancelled SEVERAL times.

I was a Gold's Gym Member. After the Covid incidence in March 2020 I didn't went back there. However, Gold's Gym had been charging my account until December 28, 2021. Afterwards, I locked my Credit card and called the Gym to cancel my membership and refund my money back. The person who answered the call told me to send the request through an email. I sent an email on January 1st requesting for cancelling of my membership. But, didn't get back any response. I called again, and they told me to send an email . I sent a second email on February 12, 2021. I didn't got any email . Today I received a phone call from a collections agency saying that i owe money to Gold's Gym in the amount of $188. Please help me resolve this issue. Sincerely ******
