      My son was attending Giggles Early Learning Center. I submitted his two week required notice on December 16, 2021 stating Mason would no longer be attending the facility after December 31, 2021. On Monday, December 27, 2021 Morgan, an employee of the facility, called me and said there was a Covid outbreak in the infant room and not to bring Mason back that week since they did not know what what the health department was going to do regarding closing them down or not and that we would receive a refund for the week ($325.00 weekly rate) Per their policy the deposit, which goes toward the last week of care at the facility would be refunded to me. After numerous requests on how to get my refund, finally after 2 weeks i was told it was ready to be picked up and once i went there on January 7, 2022 the check was in the amount of $130.00. Karen G., the owner, said she did not know why Morgan told me we would receive a refund and that she gave me $130.00 which is the fee she decided to give me not the full $325.00. I would like the balance of $195.00 refunded to me. She also gave me a highlighted copy of their policy stating "no refunds are given due to closings or sickness because they rely on the specified tuition to be paid each week in order to meet their expenses and they cannot make any allowance for days missed in your regular attendance schedule," I am sure this cannot be the case when we were told by Morgan not to bring my son to the facility. I still had to go to work and find daycare for him.

I withdrew my son due to economic reasons. I never said there was a financial hardship *(see attached) withdraw letter. I never said I was not able to make tuition payments - that is a false statement. Morgan, who is the contact person I normally corresponded with, said a refund would be issued to me. I did not dream this up. Morgan stated to me via telephone call that since it was Mason's last week it might be good to keep him home all week and they would issue a refund to me for the week. I am well aware the daycare was closed on December 27 and December 31, 2021 Holidays - that is why I requested a total refund of $195.00 not $325.00 as Kevin G., the director stated. How unprofessional for Mr. G. to state that anything other than a full refund of $325.00 is not an option when I clearly stated since I was refunded $130.00 for 2 days, I feel, since Morgan, stated I would be reimbursed for the week, I excluded the 2 holidays that fell on that week and requested a total refund of $195.00. Giggles is blowing things out of proportion. My son, is sickly and has a lot of doctors appointments, as a result, he would come to daycare late. I am sure since his appointments are so numerous, there have been times that I forgot to notify them in advance that he would be arriving late. Mr. G. cannot speak for me, he does not know what I think, i.e, "Ms. ****** do no follow the policy, or thinks it does not apply to her" once again so unprofessional. I strongly suggest Mr. G., speak to Morgan, to verify what she told me both verbally and in writing there seems to be a disconnect somewhere.
