Dear BBB,
I am writing to you on behalf of DK Law Group in response to a complaint filed by Ms. **** ******, which we received notification of.
Complaint Details:
Issue: Billing or Collection Issues
Customer's Statement: Ms. ****** alleges that she received an "illegal email" from our firm, DK Law Group, attempting to garnish her wages for a purportedly falsified owed rent. She claims to have informed us of the illegality of our actions and accuses us of continued contact despite her notifying us of legal actions.
Disputed Amount: $0.00
We find this complaint to be inaccurate. Ms. ****** appears to have misunderstood the nature of our communication. As a law firm, we were legally retained to inform Ms. ****** of our intention to amicably resolve the issue of unpaid rent. However, should such resolution not be possible, we informed her of our next legal step, which would be to file a case in a court of law. Only if the court were to rule in our client's favor would we pursue wage garnishment. Our communications were in full compliance with legal standards and procedures.
For your reference, here is a detailed timeline of our communications with Ms. ******:Wednesday, Dec 27, 2023, 1:13 PM: Diana K*** of DK Law Group emails Ms. ****** regarding outstanding rent for a property, indicating an intention to pursue recovery after the eviction process and inviting her to discuss an amicable resolution.
Wednesday, Dec 27, 2023, 2:07 PM & 2:10 PM: Ms. ****** responds, expressing her readiness for court proceedings and making various allegations against the property management.
Thursday, Dec 28, 2023, 8:01 AM: Diana K*** clarifies the nature of the legal action being considered, which is a collections case for unpaid rent, not related to the eviction process.
Thursday, Dec 28, 2023, 10:14 AM, 2:02 PM, 3:09 PM & 3:11 PM: Further exc***ges occur where Ms. ****** refutes the claims and states her actions, including contacting the police and BBB.
A copy of all email correspondence has been attached for your review. We believe that these documents clearly demonstrate the professionalism and legality of our approach in this matter. We respectfully request that the BBB considers this information and invalidates the complaint filed by Ms. ******, as it is based on a misinterpretation of our communications and actions.
T***k you for your attention to this matter. We trust that our explanation provides clarity and we are available for any further information you may require.
