      I have debated for 3 years on writing this review. Here it is 3 years later, numerous communications from “Betty” and “Philip” and we can still not even get my family a vacation to a lake in Arkansas in a non peak month that shows available on their calendar. It’s always accepted, initially, and then a mass email comes out with updated changes. Again. In my heart I wish it was legit in my case, but I was scammed. Please, consider all other options before trying this place.

      The reviews on here are correct! I would give zero stars as well! We also put in applications and paid three different times and they never get in contact with you whatsoever and then your date passes for the times and places that you submit your application for! So we tried to put another application And the same thing happened. Then we tried to put in another application after these dates had passed with no contact and the same thing happened. The company tried to email us, and you tried to cheat the company by putting in three different applications for the year when they never got in touch with us the first time , before the application and dates were put in for that year! This company is a great way to **** so many veterans out of money and only pay for a couple of trips for people a year!

      “Good afternoon, this is ***** ****** I’m not sure if you meant to send me this email… I am ****** *****’s wife. I actually have three transactions From I hoot on our credit cards so that’s about $400 you were wrong there. I Think that the fact that we spent so much money not trying to get multiple trips during the year, but trying to get one of the trips. We were emailing back-and-forth with a lady and I spoke to her on the the phone. I think the trips that we were trying to plan were in advance; however, We never got any word from I hoot before the date and time of the booking had passed. Therefore, we just tried to put in another trip and paid for it again. We never got any word! I am sure that just a handful of people get wonderful results and trips out of paying for this; however, I am now aware that most don’t! Thank you for Your time and we will definitely let everyone know our results working with I Hoot!! Have a great weekend!”

      Customer Complaint #1: “I actually have three transactions From I hoot on our credit cards so that’s about $400…”
           IHOOT Response to Complaint #1: This action should have been disputed by the customers to their bank so that “chargebacks” could be issued against the receiving institution.
           All funds would’ve been “frozen” until an investigation could be completed by both banks. The customer did not provide proof of payments other than the two already on file with
           the receiving bank: The first payment of $129.03 was made using Discover card #7471 for Application #11649 asking for 5/27-31/2024 submitted on June 20, 2023. The 2nd
           payment of $130.05 was made using Visa# 5452 for Application #12684 asking for 2/10-13/2024 submitted on October 1, 2023. The credit card merchant reported
           no further payments from this customer.

      Customer Complaint #2: “We never got any word from I hoot before the date and time of the booking had passed. Therefore, we just tried to put in another trip and paid for it again.
      IHOOT Response to Complaint #2: Customers contradicted this complaint by saying: “We were emailing back-and-forth with a lady and I spoke to her on the phone.” This proves that there was correspondence from and to IHOOT. Further, application guidelines clearly state that only one (1) application should be submitted during a 365-day period. This customer submitted two (2) applications within a four-month period. The Resort Companies had no availability for any of the locations the Customer requested. Per IHOOT Guidelines, the Customers were also informed that processing fees could be to request new dates and/or locations using the original payment, so the fee isn’t lost.

      Customer Complaint #3:” We never got any word!”
      IHOOT Response to Complaint #3: The Customer refuted her own statement by saying: “We were emailing back-and-forth with a lady and I spoke to her on the phone.” This complaint is also inaccurate because there were 28 emails from IHOOT to and from the Customer between October 1, 2023 and April 5, 2024.

      If I could give a zero that wouldn’t do this organization justice. I didn’t believe the poor reviews from fellow Veterans, how can an organization mislead people into obtaining a vacation that doesn’t exist? I don’t care if it is directed to me but it’s most disappointing doing it to my 6 yr old son.

      IHOOT regards and values input, positive as well as negative, from customers that have experienced the benefits of Vacations for Vets (V4V). IHOOT validates the Request Forms from Active-Duty Military and Veterans that apply for free accommodations from Resorts listed on the ************* website and forwards them to the Resorts to be processed. The Resort Reps (not IHOOT) attempt to exactly match the locations, dates and family requirements on the Request Form with an owner that's willing to allow a Veteran and family to occupy it. As explained in the Application Guidelines, FAQ's, Terms & Conditions and in a 4-minute instructional video, applicants are required to acknowledge reading and understanding them as well as providing their digital signature prior to submitting the application. Unfortunately, the customer that filed this review didn't understand the Program nor did he contact IHOOT for a solution. It was explained that since his selections weren't available, instead of applying again, he could provide new dates and/or locations using the existing Processing Fee, so it isn't lost. Nevertheless, the $129.05 fee has been refunded to the customer. As always, we thank all Veterans and their Families for their service!
