On 11/21/2021 I shopped at the Strosnider's Ace Hardware in Potomac, MD. While there three employees simply told me where the product was located. None of them actually walked me to the product. When I went to the counter, I put my stuff on the counter, and asked about shammis. The cashier did not call an associate to assist. Instead, the cashier left her register and told me someone in the back would help. I walked to the back of the store, waited 10 minutes, and a Strosnider's Ace employee asked how he could help. I asked about shammies. The price was $21.99. To me that is too much for one shammy. I went back up to the front where the cashier passed me off the *******. ******* spoke real fast throughout the sale, however, when she asked for my phone number, she repeated it back as if someone sounded retarded. She did this twice. I did not appreciate the treatment. Yesterday, I returned all except two items to the Potomac ************ Ace Hardware Store. When I returned the items, the cashier responded as if he was scared. He referenced the rewards program, and beyond that he told me he didn't use the Ace Hardware app, or show me how to use it. He provided information on rewards and never showed me how to use the app. He told me he didn't even have the app. I am sure many shoppers frequent Strosnider's. What I find strange is the cashiers sounding mentally handicapped and scared without no discernable reason. It comes across as mocking. If that is the circumstance, why allow cashiers to treat customers like that? ***** did nothing to step in and help the cashier explain the rewards program or the Ace Hardware app. Neither the Store Manager ***** or the cashier asked for my business nor attempted to keep my business. They didn't even attempt to see how they could help. They simply let me return the items. That's disturbing. I believe customers want to know to their business is valued. I will not refer others to this Strosnider's.
