On January 12 2022 I visited my neighborhood laundry location sudsville laundry located at 11720 Reisterstown rd 21136. I used 4 machines to wash this day. I used my debit card to pay as I normally do. Upon returning home and checking my transactions I noticed I was charged an extra 10 dollar charge twice the machines I used were priced at 10 dollars for 2 of them and 7 dollars for the other 2. I was overcharged and called and emailed the business multiple times. Calling again and finally getting someone on the phone who stated very rudely that she was the manager and the extra money will be returned to my card in 15 days something I had never heard before and quite frankly makes no sense at all. I explained to her how I frequent the laundry location and how this has never happened before. She then instructed me to call back in 15 days if the money was not returned. This sounds very illegal and unfair to customers I feel it should be posted that there will be a hold on your debit card and for how long if those are the rules. I would like a full refund for the 2 unauthorized charges to my card but the business and its employees refuse to do anything except wait for 15 days. Please help I have other bills due and this will ultimately cost me a lot more money because of someone else's mistake. I feel the business should simply refund my money as soon as possible. I am extremely stressed due to this situation and currently experiencing chest pains. Please help resolve this matter. Thank youBusiness response

Ms ******* ******* We operate 18 laundromats in Maryland and 2 on Reisterstown Rd alone. After investigating the credit charges, I discovered that the correct store address should be **** ************ *** ********* **.XXXXX and not our store in Reisterstown which is where the letter was sent. We have an exceptional business reputation here in Maryland and work very hard at it and are locally owned and operated. We process over 20,000 credit card transactions a month and will not over charge our customers for using their credit card. Our machine pricing is the same weather customers use coin or credit card. If you view your charges on computer or phone immediately after starting the washers, you will see amounts in increments of $10 as pending charges only and do not see the actual charges until the system batches and settles with the banks usually 2-3 business days after and have signage in our stores explaining this. You mentioned in the complaint that you use your debit card in the past for laundry and not sure what could have gone wrong this day. I am attaching a report that shows 4 washers being started with a credit card ending **** and 3 had the extend wash option purchased. If you were charged for anything different than I would like to know so I can further investigate. Additionally, for being a loyal customer I will be sending you a store debit card with an amount of $20 to use in the future at any of our stores that accept credit card.
