From the start, Rose was a great help setting up my move from a storage unit to my new apartment. The employees were very respectful, polite and caring in moving my items from storage to the apartment. They worked very hard and set everything up for me. I am so thankful that I found them. I will use them again when needed.

A complete bait and switch. The quote was generous, and was based on the sales person walking around the house and giving an estimate on cubic feet and packaging needed. We advised their sales coordinator that we didn't need reassembly of our furniture at the delivery location, so she gave us a $500 discount. When the movers came, they charged me an extra $1200 in cubic feet and additional supplies. I argued with them that this was almost the equivalent to 2 additional rooms. How could their sales person miss that. They could provide no explanation except "we are charging you fair price for additional costs". I also noticed they didn't give me the discount for not requiring reassembly. Customer service told me the sales person was in no position to offer that discount so they wouldn't honor it. When the truck arrived, I noticed it was in a different truck. I found out thru the driver that my load was brokered to another party. This guy then hired 2 local guys to help him move my stuff. After several hours, a heated argument occurred in the middle of my street with the movers cursing at the driver because they weren't paid properly. I offered to pay for their gas, but ultimately convinced the driver to pay them, just to get them off my property. I emailed Great Nations again to let them know everything that has happened, along with their bait and switch on the reassembly discount, as well as the upcharge on the "additional cubic feet and supplies" and all they said was sorry, and Gabe me $200 off. I will never use them again, and I will never refer them to anyone.

Run, don’t walk, as far away from this company as is possible! They made a lot of promises they had no intention of keeping, became unresponsive once hired, and have put me at risk with their total disregard for client welfare. First, you will be told to use the drawer space since they’re charging by volume, but they will unpack your drawers into boxes and charge you for them. They will use wardrobe boxes at $18 each for all kinds of non-wardrobe items. They did this enough to cost an extra $1000 on top of their estimate. Then, they just ghost you once on the road with no update on delivery estimate. Even when I managed my expectations, they had my belongings a full week longer. All of the above problems will likely occur with any company you hire. What makes this company so dangerous is their process for providing a team to unload your belongings at your destination. I can only assume the drivers of the truck worked for Great Nation since they pulled up in the truck. They did not have any identification or uniform and were unable to communicate with anyone outside their group. A fourth person drove up separately and spoke with the lead driver. This new person told my father that he’d just been released from 13+ years in prison and was recovering from hernia surgery. When I asked why he’d been scheduled to work, he admitted that Ali with GNM hired him off Craigslist to work my job. He then proceeded to look through my boxes instead of reading the room labels, take dozens of breaks, and complain bitterly about how many things I own and how hot it was. He told me to have a yard sale and get rid of most of my stuff. When I told him to keep his opinions to himself, he left in anger, yelling at Ali about his money. I was forced to install an entire security system with cameras in order to feel safe. I reached out to the company so they could respond and they’ve decided not to respond.

Great Nation Moving was great in the beginning phases of our office move. They were quick to respond and very helpful. On the day of the move, things took a turn. Two trucks were supposed to show up, and only one arrived. There was already someone else's furniture on the truck. The crew did not bring any dollies or carts to move our furniture. They were hand-carrying items one at a time and stacking things on our office chairs and rolling them down, which caused damage to our desk chairs. We could have performed the move on our own if we knew they were going to move our furniture like that. They did not finish the scope of work the contract entailed. My colleague and I were waiting for them to finish moving the items until 2:30 am. They scratched the walls and doors in our new office and they did not protect the walls and floors like they were supposed to. They installed our desks and conference tables incorrectly and caused damage. During the move, I expressed these concerns to Rose and she said David (CEO) would reach out to me. She and David never reached out to me or apologized for the inconvenience the move caused us. They are now following up 5 months later to receive payment. They gave us 10% off, but the amount of money we paid in fixing the damages and paying other people to finish their work does not even compare to the 10% off. I do not recommend Great Nation moving to anyone.

Rose in the MD office is a one of a kind of a lady, absolutely amazing!!..Her moving crew of "Tony and Frank" were terrific, on time, took better care of my furniture than I would of. Each time I called Rose and emailed her, she always responded in a quick fashion. She is extremely intelligent, witty, and very very polite. I will use no other moving service but Great Nation Moving.

I was blown away by the customer service offered by Great Nation Moving. Rose in the Rockville office was extremely helpful for any and all questions I had. Moving day was flawless. The movers took extreme care of all of our items and were very efficient clearing out our old apartment and placing everything exactly where we wanted in the new apartment. We will definitely be using their services for futures moves!

Great Nation Moving The packing and wrapping of the furniture was good, or so I thought. Upon arrival, a number of my pieces were damaged, partly because they had to unload and load onto another truck for the long distance move from Pa to Tx. I have to say that so of the damage was just pure negligence and poor handling. The pedestals for my washer and dryer were so damaged, the drawers would not even open. Two of my buffet tables were scratched when they removed the blankets. I had a TV placed inside a TV shipping box and it must have been dropped along the way, and cracked the screen. Overall I had 12 items that had moderate to severe damage. Not happy about the handling of my items considering the price I paid for the move. I expected far better handling based upon my initial conversations when I had selected Great Nation Moving.

Great experience! First long distance move of my life. At first it seemed too good to be true, but Robert I***** reassured me with his professionalism and sincerity. I am glad I trusted him. The pricing was exactly what was quoted and everything arrived to the storage unit. Painless! I have another move coming and I'll definitely be a return customer for Robert I*****. Ask for him by name, you won't regret it!

Excellent service. My contact, Rose C*****, was amazing. So helpful. She was available for every call and question and always kept me advised of when pick up and delivery would be. The movers were on time both for pick up and delivery and were very efficient and protective of my belongings. I highly recommend this company.
