I wanted to place an order online for pickup from Kabuto Rosedale, and had a question regarding a menu item. I wanted to ensure I was ordering the correct item, considering the ingredients weren’t clearly stated on the menu. I called the restaurant & upon an employee answering, I could hear that it was extremely loud & the employee answering appeared to be in a hurry. I asked my question right away & he informed me to refer to the online menu. I informed him that the ingredient in question wasn’t clearly stated which is why I was calling for clarification. Assuming that the person answering the phone was clearly very busy & overwhelmed, I asked if there was anyone else available that I could speak to & he stated no. I asked to speak to a manager, in which he replied that he was the manager on duty. I asked for his name & he hung up the phone on me. I called back & no one would take my call including the additional 3-4 times I called back. I then had to contact a different location, Kabuto Parkville, in which the manager spoke to me & answered my question- which was truthfully a rather quick question that could be answered by someone aware of the menu & the food that is being prepared at the establishment. I am highly disappointed at Kabuto Rosedale lack of customer service and respect. To blatantly hang up on a customer inquiring about a menu item is unacceptable- even if the establishment is busy, there’s a way to respectfully say that & in my case, still answer my question just as the manager did at the Parkville location. I will not be visiting Kabuto again.
