We had pre ordered a Mack truck because they promised a certain price and then when we are getting ready to finalize everything they come and change the price to much more, and taking advantage that we were in the process of buying the truck and increase the price on us.Business response

As we discussed this Customer entered into negotiations for this truck several months ago. This past year has been the most turbulent year for Pricing & Production Availability that I have seen in 38 years of being in this Business. As you can see on the Wall Street Journal website, Steel, Aluminum, Rubber, Petroleum & Micro Chip Processors are up from 43%- 428% per category. These are all items used in producing and building a Commercial Truck. Further there is severe Vendor Supply issues causing substantial delays to the point the manufacturers have had to step in and absorb costs to air freight parts into the Plant to keep the Production Line moving. We have seen unprecedented price increases as every other Industry. Look at the price of food in the Supermarket, gas at the fuel pump, cars at the car Dealerships etc. It is everywhere. We explained this to **** ******* of American Service Dumpsters and he said he understood and accepted the revised pricing with the unfortunate explanation above. We made it clear, he was not obligated to buy the Truck under the situation, and that we would inventory and market the Truck to another Buyer. He agreed willingly and is now contacting you with this story. However, I will point out, this complaint is for a Mack Truck and we are selling him a Kenworth Truck, so it is possible he has another issue with the Mack Dealer and this was sent to us in error? We have been very up front with **** and understand the current market conditions are not pleasant nor normal but it is what we have in front of us and we are forced to deal with it accordingly. I am also copying an email we received from Kenworth in January 2022 explaining this pricing increase issue and the lack of control they have on it at this time. This was also provided to **** so he has seen it and is aware this is not All Roads doing this but a manufacturing Cost issue that is flowing downhill.
