My mother passed away four years ago and I took my mothers ring to this establishment to be fixed later on I found out that the diamond was replaced with a phony stone this establishment has been involved in many incidents of stealing from the community and the man seems to just keep getting away with it. I was given information that it would be best to call the Better Business Bureau In hopes that they can stop this establishment from stealing from the community it has cost me over $4000 to place my mothers diamond

I had come into the store to sell some jewelry and also have a ring made. The owner himself told me it would only take a few weeks. He also quoted me around $400 and said it shouldn’t be any more than that because it’s a simple ring. So it’s been about 1 month since I had spoken to him and decided to call the owner to get a timeline for the ring. When I had got on the phone with the owner, they had said the ring hadn’t been started and they were still coming up with pricing and it would now be between $400-$600 and also the ring hasn’t been started because he takes a vacation every year around this time. Not that it really matters but it was also an anniversary present. Kind of disappointing when there’s nothing to open. Not sure why they wouldn’t be honest about the timeline and then try to jack up the price on me. This wasn’t the first encounter I had with this company. About a little bit more than a year ago I also had a necklace repaired. I should’ve learned my lesson from the experience that time. It took them more than three weeks to repair a latch. I wouldn’t give this company the time of day…He also lowballed me on the gold I had sold him. He’s a crook. Do not trust him!!!!!

    To whom it may concern:

1st - She brought in a necklace 5-28-2021 it was done and notified 6-30-2021 She picked it up on 6-11-2021.

2nd - She texted me a picture on Aug 25(we got on 27) of her ring to remake that she lost. I told her $500 and would try to keep around $400 as noted on her claim check that she has and it also says 3-6 weeks on custom jobs!
I can not and will not tolerate an absolute lie because she is trying to get her job cheaper and faster. Had she listened, we actually had her ring top done and just needed to know what size and color gold shank she wanted. The job could of been finish for as little as $380 and been done by the front side of the 3 to 6 weeks!!  The only difference in the money would be the size of the shank.  But I can not tolerate and will not people talking to my employees the way she did.(2nd Lie)

3rd - She got $30.10 a gram for her 14k. It is weighed in front of the customer and the price is kept live in the store and she got 10% less than we do from the refinery. (3rd Lie)

4th and finally - Thank you to your relative who called and apologized on her behalf. It explained a lot to us. We just told her NO, that we would not do the work and she is having a, "temper tantrum, as she thinks she is special".

    Hope this clarifies the matter.
