This dog groomer sliced my dogs testicular.I have pictures. They will not speak to me to give me back my money.I question their level of experience. My dog appeared to be in considerable pain for 3days.Business response

Unfortunately, *******'s dog, a very friendly 9 month old labradoodle, was neglected, his hair very badly matted. We may have nicked a testicle in the long and arduous process of getting him cleaned up, or he just licked a sore spot because he'd never felt air back there.
After she took him home, she called, concerned, and I told her to bring him back to the shop the following day. I explained that although we hadn't seen a nick in the shop, that if he'd been licking it at home, which is what dogs do, it had probably bloomed. She said he had indeed been licking.
She said he was a little better when she brought him back the next day. We put salve on the testicle, and fitted him for an e-collar so he would stop licking it.
He was quite happy bouncing around the shop the next day saying hi to all the other dogs and groomers and didn't mind the e-collar at all. We have security camera footage to back all this up. (She sent me her pictures. They show a very sore spot on one testicle.) We babysat him all day while ******* was at work. All of this was absolutely free of charge, because we felt ******* was not very knowledgeable and quite likely a first time dog owner, at least of a dog that required grooming.
Unfortunately, it seems she was just angling for a free groom. She was never concerned enough to actually take him to the vet.
Its ridiculous and sad. If you thought your dog was mutilated and sliced, don't you think you would take him to the vet? Do you think you'd take him back to spend the next day with the same groomers?
Our thoughts are with ********. As all groomers know, owners like ******* crop up too often…more than a few times a year. But they are usually thankful for our care and services. I think this is the first BBB complaint we’ve had in 20+ years of grooming 30-40 dogs 5-6 days a week.
I hope she gets him groomed more than once a year, and I hope she takes care of him. He’s a really nice boy.
