I reached out to Walt to install a dryer outlet on 3/22/22. He got the job scheduled quickly (3/24/22) and I was thrilled to get it done fast. I asked for a quote and was told one would be provided - but that didn't happen. Without providing a quote or calling me to explain anything, his team finished the job and then charged nearly $1,000. There was an additional outlet install but was not explained to us why it was necessary. Research from reputable online sources estimated the job to be between $150-300, depending on the length of copper wire ($300 for 30 ft of wire). There was no invoice provided at the time of service to explain these charges. When I called Walt to ask why the work was carried out without a quote, or if it was common practice to charge people $1,000 without giving them a quote, he began to berate and SCREAM at me, telling me what I read online was "not real". I repeatedly asked for him not to yell at me and asked if this was his common business practice - to which he got more angry and demanded I pay him immediately (when I asked how he would like to be paid). The bill was paid in full - however, the charge was egregious and the demeanor was, frankly, frightening from a business owner. After sharing my experience online following the service (3/24/22), it seems as though this is repeated behavior and he has done the same exact thing serially. According to the other reviews, he has called people "mentally ill", threatened them in various fashions and made them feel unsafe.
