I decided I'd like to get my hair done, I’ve previously called saran’s braiding for box braids and decides to check it out. I called wanting locs, I asked the price on the phone, I was told it would be $160 if I purchased the hair myself or $260 if I didn’t purchase the hair. I told her I’d purchase the hair, my appointment was at 12pm, and that was our first phone call. I got ready and went to the nearest hair store to me. I couldn’t find the brand (*****) she suggested on the phone, I called her telling her the brands they did have. She was fine with it. I got there a bit early and they did my hair. When they completely finished I was told the price was no longer $160 because of the length. My hair was crotchet. She said the minimum she’s willing to go is $180 and I explained I was told $160 on the phone so that’s what I came expecting to pay. They say they want a picture I turn around so she can take a picture and then says she wants one of my face. I declined. She begins to poke me with her finger and I ask multiple times to not touch me. She says that she can touch me because she’s the manager and she’s taking a picture. I tell her we have to hurry and pay the $160 because I have plans. She doesn’t allow me to go to the counter. She asked me if I wanted to fight. I turn and ask the two stylist who did my hair where’s the owner, the manager says they aren’t here today. I tell her I can pay the $160 and leave, she says no. I tell her I can call the police, she laughs and says call them. As I’m dialing 911 she says “You can pay the $160.” I say okay let’s do it. She says give me your card, I respond with no I’m coming with you. We get to the register and she turns and says give me your card. I say for 160 right? She doesn’t reply. I asked that two more times before she says yes. I hand her my card and she says I’m charging 180. I say no give me my card. She snatches it back so I try and tug for it, she shoves my chest and we began to fight. Police said 160.
