November 12,2022. I have canceled an extended warranty purchased on my car from Darcars. They agreed to the cancellation and promised to refund my money back. They told me that I should receive a check in the amount of $ ****** from their insurance **** ****. Since then, they received the money, but they refuse to pay me back. They are giving me the run around between the switchboard operator to the finance manager, to the sales manager, and to the office manager. All I am asking for is my money of $340. And I want to forget and forgive my experience with Darcars forever. Thanks for your support. *******************.Business response

On April 9th, 2022 I found a truck on Darcars website. The price was shown at $70,845, which matched the Sticker price. At this point, I made a $900.00 down payment on the vehicle. After waiting 23 days for the truck to arrive, it finally showed up today, May 2, 2022. Salesman, Miquel, called to let me know that the truck was in. I called back too see when it would be available for pickup. He sent me their on-line credit application and proceeds to tell me that the truck is now priced at $80,845, not the advertised price of $70,845 that i made the down payment on. I spoke with a Manager named Eddie and he said that the price listed on the internet was not valid and said that he couldn't advertise for more than sticker, but the price was $10,000 over sticker price. If they had shown the vehicle with the price they wanted, I would never have called about it and would have ordered one from somewhere else. They are now pulling the old price switch trick knowing that I am in need of the truck and have waited almost a month for it and now trying to jack the price up. CRM Sherlene L**** followed up with dealer. Per Eddy M****, Sales Manager. Customer was called first when the vehicle arrived Customer knew prior to the vehicle coming in that the vehicle would be sold over $10,000 MSRP. Dealer would be willing to sell the vehicle to the customer, but the customer chooses not to pay the requested price. Please close. Thanks Sherlene L*******Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because: No body at dealership ever said about the price being 10,000 more than "THEIR PRICE" listed on THEIR website when I made the deposit. THEIR PRICE was listed at 70,845, Miguel never relayed to me that there would be a markup at time when deposit was made. If I was going to pay 80,845 for a truck, other dealerships had trucks on their lots for around that same price with many more features and better trim lines. If i had known about the $10,000 markup I would have made a deposit at a more reputable dealership on a truck and probably would have had it by now. Any other dealership that is charging more is listing the increased price on their websites so customers are aware of the increase. Darcar is trying to cheat the customers. Make them wait for the vehicle while hiding the increased price. Then knowing the customer needs the vehicle and has waited almost a month and then increasing price. Think this would be considered price baiting.
Regards,
