      They are crooks especially the finance department. Warranties cancelled within 12 hours and no refund going to 60 days now.

      AVOID Darcars Toyota of Silver Springs!Purchased a new car from them on 5/12/2024. Being out of state I had to place a $500 refundable deposit in order to hold the car for a day. Once I got there the next day to pick up the car I was told by ************************* from Finance that the refund to my card was issued at that I should see it reflect on my account within 48 hours. After several days of unanswered phone calls, no call backs, several messages to ************************* and sales manager Selorm Tsegah I ended up having to call Toyota Corporate, within hours everybody was calling me - emailing me back. It took 22 days to get my money back, as of today I still believe that this is regular practice at this dealer, maybe they hope you don't notice so they can keep it and turn it into a profit, so basically they steal it.Talking about stealing, after I had gone thru the out the door numbers with sales manager *************, agreeing, submitting credit app, had my credit checked, and buying my airline ticket to get there, after all of that I was told about the 2% ********** **************** fee by ************************* from finance, to what I asked him clearly that it was not disclosed by sales manager *************. According to ***** he was going to talk to ****** about having it removed since it was not disclosed. Guess what? It was not!A total waste of time dealing with these crooks.

      Have been taking my Prius for service here for years. The recent service report said that my rotors were rusted and pitted and they with the break pads needed to be replaced. This was suspicious as I have had no breaking issues. I took it to another mechanic and MD inspector for a second opinion and they said the rotors were “clean, like new” the break pads were “still serviceable, did not need to be replaced”. Had I just taken what Darcars service center had claimed, I would be out $1500. This dishonest behavior has made me question all work that they have ever done on my car and I will never be returning nor recommending them to anyone.

      DARCAR Toyota of Silver Springs: On a Friday afternoon I decided to drive 3.5 hours / 148 miles from the eastern shore of Maryland to this location with the intention of purchasing a used vehicle that had a particular feature I wanted (a tow package), as was specified in their on-line listing for $34,500. Prior to leaving for DARCAR's I spoke to and texted with a Salesman who assured me that the feature was present, because he had visually looked at it. When I arrived (along with a friend who would be driving my car back home) we quickly discovered that the vehicle did not have the promised feature. When questioned, the Salesman said "uh, sorry, yeah that's on me" and "I'm new, I guess got this vehicle mixed up with another". Then, at my request, I was shown alternate vehicles I might consider purchasing. My only ask was that the vehicle would have to be at the "out-the-door-price" I was promised. I identified one alternate vehicle except, it was $6,500 more than the vehicle I was to purchase. Despite the bait-and-switch maneuver they pulled they were unwilling to make that deal, so back into my vehicle we went for the 3.5 hour / 148 mile return trip home. Out-of-pocket expense = $193.88, not including our time (8 hours) or meal ($118). In the end its simply not worth my time or expense to take them to small claims court to recoup my expenses. Looking at on line reviews for DARCARS Toyotos of Sliver Springs it appears I'm in good company. Many, many unsatisfied and undervalued customers.

      I always take my car to DARCARS in Silver Spring a few weeks ago I took it because the tire pressure light kept turning on. I took it there and they gave me the wrong diagnostic. Stating it needed to be fixed and wanted to charge me $500.!! I declined and a few weeks later realized that there was an actual problem with my tire!!!! That means they did not even look at my tires they were just trying to find a problem to get money!!!! So recently I took my car for an oil change and they told me the water pump needed to be replaced. The charged 1,463 for labor!!!! just for labor without any explanation for anything else. The part was $321. I had to ask for a breakdown of the charges because total they charged me $1,895. With an oil change and the tire patch which they should have done weeks ago. At this point I do not trust Darcars Toyota at all with my car or my money. Their customer service is poor. I heard a manager tell a customer "if you don't like it that is too bad and you can get out of here" That means they do not care at at all about their service. It makes me think if they do not care about the service are we at risk driving our cars after they have worked on it or simply they just want the business meaning the $$$$$$$$$.

      DARCARS has lost one more customer for life. I ordered a replacement muffler for my car almost two months ago, and was told that the part would arrive in a week. I call them the following week and they say it will arrive December 6. I call them on December 7, now it'll arrive December 14. I called them today and they said it will only arrive next year. I cannot keep waiting for a replacement of one of the most critical pieces of my car! I am now worried I will break down somewhere. I will have to order a replacement elsewhere with the full refund which I have demanded from DARCARS! I have driven almost 5000 miles since I requested a replacement muffler. I might as well have ordered it myself from OEM and watched a Youtube video on how to replace a muffler myself by now! Not even third-party auto shops operate this sluggishly!!! Aside from leaving a 1-star review here, I will be doing everything in my power to keep DARCARS off the radar of any prospective customers. Nobody should ever be forced to wait this long for car service in a country where you're essentially forced to own a car to be able to get anywhere!
