  May 20, 2020 I hired Accurate Asphalt to re-pave my driveway paying $8,000.00 cash. On June 2, 2020 I complained of poor workmanship i.e. ruts, inconsistencies, pieces of wood in the asphalt, cracking around the ruts and loose gravel. Numerous areas had impressions of tires which starting cracking around the indentations causing stone to come loose. I complained again to the owner. June 1, 2021 Accurate Asphalt returned to my residence to seal the newly installed driveway stating same would correct the issues. I asked the worker sealing the driveway why this happened to my driveway he said "it was bad asphalt". He also advised the difference in the patching and the sealer would blend within 30 days and it has not. August 2021 Accurate Asphalt returned to my home to inspect stating the issues were NORMAL and I was being too critical. Returning again without an appointment Accurate Asphalt burned my driveway that had NORMAL issues (per them) with a torch trying to correct the issue which made it worse. ***************************************** Chester, Maryland 21619 also hired Accurate Asphalt installed the same day as mine paying $3.000.00 cash and has the same issues as myself in addition she has oil seeping up through the driveway where no cars could park. I have had several Asphalt Contractors inspect my installation and all agree it was bad asphalt and it was not rolled out properly. We would like a driveway replacement or full refund.

  Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2021/11/22) */ I write on behalf of Accurate Asphalt, LLC ("Accurate") in response to the subject complaint. Accurate performed asphalt work for Ms. ******* (as well as Ms. *************) in the early summer of 2020, pursuant to a written contract. Ms. ******* accepted the terms of that contract, to include the specific limitations applicable to new asphalt installations (e.g. power-steering tire marks, indentations related to new/uncured asphalt, and attendant puddling within certain parameters). Despite those contractual limitations, and in effort to satisfy Ms. *******, Accurate not only addressed minor visual imperfections in the asphalt, but also applied 2 sealcoatings wholly at Accurate's expense in an effort to satisfy the customer. In the many attempts to address Ms. *******'s concerns, she routinely waffled between wanting the entire driveway replaced (something unnecessary and that Accurate is unwilling to do), and demanding a full refund (something unsubstantiated, and also something Accurate is unwilling to do). Accurate stands behind its work in this matter. Unfortunately, it does not seem that there is a reasonable path toward satisfaction for the customer. Accurate's terms and conditions that this customer signed specifically address that the items she is complaining about are not covered by our warranty but we tried to appease her concerns anyway. It should be noted that on October 19, 2021, Accurate, in response to the Complainant's email in which she threatened to either file suit or a complaint with the BBB, offered to engage in discussions aimed at amicably resolving this matter. Unfortunately, the Complainant ignored that invitation, and instead resorted to filing this complaint. Please know that Accurate has earned the respect of its customers, both commercial and residential, by routinely supplying quality services and products in a timely and cost-efficient manner. As a result, Accurate enjoys an unblemished reputation, and a strong presence in the regional asphalt installation business. This hard-earned reputation will be defended. Accurate will remain open to any suggested reasonable resolution offered by the Complainant regarding this matter.
