Dishwasher: I called Dynamo electric as my dishwasher would not come on. They came out on 7-10-21 and found a connection loose. Connection repaired $90.00. Dishwasher stopped working again two weeks later and Dynamo came out again. Wires disconnected again. The wires were reconnected $90.00. Two weeks later, dishwasher stopped again. Dynamo came out a third time at no charge and had to reconnect wires again. Dishwasher stopped again. Called 10-19-21 and was told the company would do what it takes get this resolved with no charge. 10-21-21: I receive an email from Dynamo Electric with a $325.00 quote. Unbelievable the dishwasher is new GE 3-4 year old. Over $500 for a loose connection. 10-21-21: I went downstairs shut off the circuit breaker to the dishwasher and hand tightened the connections dishwasher on. simple connections. I don't know if it's being done purposely or if it's done accidentally for profit. 20 years with Dynamo electric. Very disappointed.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/10/27) */ We repaired a loose splice in the dishwasher on 8.5.21. We did two more trips where we tested the dishwasher and re-spliced the connections and found nothing wrong. We have only sent one invoice for $195 and that was for the first trip. This typically is our service call minimum. There have not been additional charges. There is most likely an issue with the dishwasher or possibly a splice somewhere else in the circuit. *** asked for a recommendation and I recommended the cord and plug because it would be easier for him to troubleshoot and if it is in the dishwasher, it would be easier for the appliance guy to replace. *** did not express that he was unhappy with this situation and we have not tried to bail. Chris, who schedules service calls, has reached out to him multiple times since Friday with no return calls. We stand behind what we do and will do what it takes to make *** happy, but we need to hear from him. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2021/10/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Good morning, In total, have three separate emails from Dynamo Electric regarding a "follow up" from the time the company had come to my house to work on the dishwasher. After the 4th time the dishwasher stopped working, I called and spoke to a Dynamo customer service representative. The representative was truly apologetic that this issue was recurring and the last two times it was simply reconnecting loose wires that were supposedly fixed the first time. The representative assured me she would speak to the manager to see could be done and she state you should not be charged for this. This was a nice gesture but I understand business. Dishwasher: 3.5 year old GE Adora Dishwasher current electrical connection: Hard line to connection: dedicated 20 amp square D breaker per state of Maryland code. Preferred method as dishwasher comes in this state for electrical connection. Entire Kitchen Installed by professionals. Note *The Dynamo workers made short work of finding the issue, tighten the wires and after the third time they were most apologetic for the wires coming loose again. Important: After the 3rd time when the same Dynamo workers came out to see the wires loose, this time they said they used a 3 port electrical connector and stated "this should not come loose again". 15 year customer: I spoke to Dynamo after the 4th time this dishwasher stopped and the following day I received a quote for $350.00 to modify current dishwasher connection from hard wired to new outlet and changing the dishwasher connection to a plug in type. I responded respectfully as always but decided to take a look at what Dynamo had done thus far as something did not seem right. I was an avionics guidance and control systems engineer with electronic principles education from the Air Force so I decided to take a look. I shut the dedicated dishwasher circuit breaker off and then proceeded to remove the dishwasher cover to the wiring. Here is where I realized the issue: From the hardwired connection to the dishwasher, after the third time coming out, Dynamo replaced two of the yellow twist wire connectors with 3 port wire connectors but still left one connections with the yellow wire twist connector. I thought this odd as Dynamo said they replaced all. I simply hand tightened the last yellow wire twist connector AS IT WAS LOOSE, switched the dishwasher dedicated 20 amp fuse to on and my dishwasher has been working fine ever since. There is nothing wrong with the dishwasher. Also, I noticed the housing for the Romex coming from the circuit breaker box into the dishwasher was unscrewed. The dishwasher housing tightens the wire from the circuit breaker box. This dishwasher housing is intended to the hold wire in place. In summary, I am extremely disappointed with Dynamo as it's clear that the job was never intended to be done correctly the first time or perhaps dishwasher work should be left to electrical dishwasher experts. Regardless, I do not trust Dynamo at this time and will not accept their services based on how I have been treated. I do not want or am looking for refunds I just don't want anyone in my health condition be subjected to such fraud from Dynamo electric. Most respectfully and truly saddened, *****************
