      I had to move to take care of my grandparents and have not used the Anytime Fitness Towson gym since I finished a personal training session on June 5th. I inquired about cancelling the day after, June 6th, via email 4 times, as well as the "contact us" portal on their website 5 times, and left over 10 voicemails. I went in person three times to try to cancel and drop off the fob, but there has been no staff working at all. I contacted the Fallston Anytime Fitness as well as the Timonium location and they both told me they could not assist. I finally got my membership cancelled by going through ABC Financing, but I need to be refunded the $599.96 that they took out of my bank account even though I had not used the gym once and the membership was supposedly cancelled. It has been incredibly excruciating trying to cancel this membership at Anytime Fitness Towson, whereas the Timonium and Fallston locations were immediately responsive and ready to help, but could not because they are all separate entities. ABC Financing made it clear that they are not authorized to refund any money, only the Anytime Fitness Towson can, but how am I supposed to get in touch with an employee to receive a refund if there is literally no staff working at this location?? I have attached my email to Anytime Fitness Towson requesting to cancel due to moving, the email I received from their financing company, and reviews of other people experiencing the same situation as myself.

However, in our system it did not show she requested to cancel her training. It seems that 3 recurring biweekly statements of $180 were drafted for the following weeks 6/16, 7/01, and 7/16. Total amount collected with no sessions redeemed is $540. Unfortunately, we missed this account therefore we will refund the amount which is owed to her. Total Refund amount $540, Not $599.       Anytime Fitness is continuing to charge me for personal training sessions that ended back in June. They have charged my credit card four times now for a total of $720. Every effort I make to get refunded has gone ignored. I sent numerous messages confirming the sessions were ending as soon as I found out my trainer was discontinuing personal training at this gym. It's impossible to get in contact with anyone to get refunded. The voicemail box is full, no one is in office during "staffed hours", and my emails continue going unanswered. I'm afraid they are going to keep charging me on the 1st and 15th of every month unless I tell my credit card company to block them.

I've looked into our records to pull up your payment history and your last sessions with a coach. We see that your last sessions were on the week of June 12th, 2022. your payment for that week is covered by the payment made in June 1st 2022's statement. The remainder of these payments were either refunded, or charged back by the bank. I have provided a screenshot of which transactions have already been charged back to the client and which transactions remain in our system as paid. If you notice that 6/16 and 7/01 have both been refunded already. Also you will notice that 7/16 and 8/01 has already been charged back by the bank. The agreement is in cancelled status and not creating any further charges on this account. Currently there are no refunds pending on this account and the Client does not owe us anything. Consumer Response /* (2000, 19, 2022/11/09) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) Thank you! Yes, I was recently able to get refunded through my credit card company.
