Marianne at Inksplash committed to a timeframe for wrapping my company truck. I paid a cash deposit for her to start working. She disappeared and stopped communicating for 2 weeks. Once she started working again she did the design completely wrong and even spelled the company name wrong. After the design was finally corrected she billed me for an incorrect amount that exceeded her invoice by almost 1800 with no explanation. She then stated that the invoice was incorrect but that she also still wanted an additional amount of money that far exceeded her written quote. When I asked when my truck would be wrapped she started yelling in an obscene and unprofessional manner at me on the phone, and asked if I would like my deposit back. At that point I decided that a refund would be in everyone's best interest. I am still waiting for confirmation of the amount of the refund and when it will be sent. Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2022/05/02) */ We have been in business for 15 years, and have never had to deal with a customer as unreasonable as Kim. We tried to accommodate her within her budget and fit her into our completely booked installation schedule because I wanted to help her start her new food truck business and I was excited for her. We received a customary deposit from her, which covers our file prep and design, no different than any other customer contract. All communication was done in a timely manner once her contract vas validated. Unfortunately Ms. ***** felt that an immediate response was required and that we should cater to her and only her...I don't know...maybe she thought she was our only customer during the busiest wrap season we have ever had. I communicated very clearly to her, what the timeframe COULD be but in no way did I commit to any specific timeline. I clearly explained to her that once the design was finalized, that, typically, she could expect install 2 weeks after that date. Even though she approved her design on April 18th, I told her that I would try and squeeze her in that week since I had available installers. Her truck wasn't even ready to be installed, as her husband had a lot of prep work to do before we could install. She called in to the shop the next morning, questioning the progress invoice I had sent which I had admitted was incorrect and would redo, but also started accusing me of being dishonest in my quote... I guess she forgot that she increased the total coverage she wanted to wrap by about 25% which will increase your total contract. At that point, I had had enough of her bullying and said I was done. The whole entire process with Ms. ***** was nothing but her being a bully. Trying to intimidate me into putting her in front of everyone else already on my schedule, just because she waited so long to start the design process, when she had her truck for 7 months prior. Now she needs it done so she can attend the events she already booked with her food truck, even before she had it inspected. I offered to cancel the contract because she was dissatisfied and impossible to please. I told her on the phone that I would be mailing her refund that day, and that is exactly what I did. She has received and cashed her refund check.
