We entered into a contract with JGI in August, 2022 to have work done in 3 rooms of our home. Our laundry room to be finished, our 2nd bathroom upstairs to be extended to include double sinks and pocket door, and an entire renovation of our kitchen. Laundry room & bathroom were completed 1st, with mistakes in both rooms. Shoddy finishing touches, paint and walls not cut at 90 degree angles, flooring uneven and patched. The pocket door was left out of our 2nd bathroom, as originally agreed to. The kitchen was started the last week of December, 2022. As of today, 6/6/2023, it is still incomplete. We are missing a corner cabinet, outlet & a corner shelf, toe kicks are not installed, molding is not installed on top cabinets, several knicks on new cabinets from installation, cabinets not aligned properly, causing more knicks, crooked outlets and corners. Also, the paint jobs were terrible. They didn't sand the drywall, causing lumps in the walls. The popcorn ceiling was touched up but does not match, it should have been removed all together if they were unable to make it look decent. We were also charged for items that were not provided. We have paid over $54,000.00 to this contractor and he (****** *****) has been extremely unprofessional and uninterested in finishing these items. Note: the desired "Refund" settlement below. We are not requesting a full refund, only enough to pay for another contractor to finish/repair his work plus for the services we didn't receive. We are working on 2 other estimates.

On 9/28/22 I entered into a renovation Agreement with ************************** JGI Real Estate Consulting LLC ("*****") for renovation/construction of my home at ***************** The Agreement is for $216,439.92. The scope of work includes permits, structural, framing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, masonry windows and doors, insulation, exterior finishes, drywall, flooring, interior trim, ceramic tile, cabinets, appliances, interior wall, driveway, inspections, *******************, and punchlist. We agreed ***** would complete all work under the Agreement within 120 days. On 10/7/22, I deposited $31,000 into *****' account with the presumption he would order materials that same week. I called and texted him but did not hear from him until 11/1/22 when minor framing started and ended 11/4/22. ***** subsequently contacted me to report $31,000 was insufficient to continue framing and asked for more funds to purchase materials. I rejected his request.During November and December 2022, ***** reported work stopped because his framing subcontractor ******, was spooked by the presence of my lawyer at our 11/9/22 meeting. I found out that this is false. ******, stopped working because ***** did not pay him.On 12/30/22, ***** reported that framing would commence 1/4/23, yet no work commenced. On 1/12/23 he reported preparation work would start, Sunday January 15. No work was performed. ***** then stated ******* would begin January 17; no framing occurred.I have attempted to contact ***** on several occasions, yet he fails to respond.Separately, ***** contacted me on several occasions to request that I personally pay for material because the funds were insufficient. We've requested paid invoices for material and labor, which ***** refuses to provide. ****** reported that his labor cost $7,000, not $14,000 that ***** falsely reported. I also have evidence that material costs are significantly less than the $35,000 ***** alleges he spent.
