      A contract was hand written on June 14, 2023. It was agreed to by myself, my husband, *******************, and the person he had with him (a helper). Two checks were written and dated. One paid for the metal roof for a small shed. $600.00 The other one was for materials, framing lumber and metal roofing to do our front deck. $1,100.00. He cashed both checks. **** came and did some of the shed roof with metal paid for. The peak metal piece was not the right one. He said he would order a new one. 3/4 of that shed roof was done. Our boxed in oil tank needed a new roof due to ice damage. That has not been touched. He also promised to remove two trees, for free. Not done. He refused to keep in touch. Won't answer my messages. He claims he had a heart attack, and a death in the family. He was told he should get disability. He says he has clients roofs to do. He says he can't read or write. I told him he has a contract, and our money. I don't know if he really was sick. I don't know if he milled the lumber. We told him that please either bring the materials we paid for or give us our money back. He is piling up more excuses. His father has his trailer. We are very tired of waiting and we are very frustrated. Heaven knows how he is treating his other clients. He advertises weekly in the ******************** paper out of ******* *****.

      I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint.                 *******************; (JD construction) sent me a text on Sept. 19th asking for our name and address.  He states that he is going to send us our money back as a money order.  I did reply thanking him for resolving the issue.  To this day we have not recieved a money order.  He has not communicated at all.  The voice mail on his cell phone states he has no service and will not be back to work until Oct. 1st    I wrote in the text the amount of money he should be returning.  $1,100.00.  There  has been no conformation from him.  I did include his phone # in the complaint.  ************.  Please advise us what is next.  Thank you  **************************;
