    i started with a 149$ credit on my account replaced a crown-third party liability (hartford insurance) , my personal inusrnace was charged and my credit was applied to the out of pocket costs, once crown was complete, aspen then subbittmed the claim and what i paid out of pocket to hartford insurance. this was settled with no outstading balance on my account. shortly after, i called with tooth pain on that same tooth that was just crowned. they told me i had a outstanding balace of $500 something because they billed with wrong dental insur.initially. i explained this was all already settled with hartford insur.didnt matter to them, still demanded the money. they saw me and pulled the crowned tooth(at not charge). from the start of all this , practice manager **** was contacted several times and never received a call back from her .on 2/28/24 i was scheduled for a routine cleaning, i left work 2hrs early to show up at my scheduled appt.at 3:00, as i checked in the receptionist told me i have a $50 deductaable charge for today's cleaning and i needed to pay it before being seen. i explained to her and the manager, ****, i do not have a deductable for a cleaning, i even showed them proof on Met Life(my insur) portal. i was told to leave. i called Met life ,they confirmed this & they lm on Aspen vm.i never heard back fromAspen.

    I went here to find something closer to home and possibly a bit cheaper. After X-rays they told me I had advanced peridontal disease. I had gone maybe a little over a year ago at my normal dentist, and wasnt told this. But hey maybe it progressed so quickly and my mouth really was that bad. Okay so next they tell me I need top dentures and that I need to take out all my top teeth because theres too many deep cavities and such I knew I needed work done but to have them all removed? Then they got me thinking hmmmm is this genetics? My mom had pretty bad teeth but she also ***** take care of them well. Well needless to say I got emotional..because having to remove all your top teeth is not only excessive, but traumatic. How could my other dentist have missed this? So the dr ***** even give me the time of day. She rushed me and ***** even give me time to process this news, and she wasnt even empathetic about how I felt which is disgusting to me. I get pulled into the finance office and I felt forced to try and find some kind of financing solution because everything was going to cost about $9000. So I get approved for a **** credit card thing right? Then they told me they can schedule my cleaning for my bottom tooth and fillings the same day. So of course I feel this sense of urgency given the news I had just received. So that was about $980 that they charged me on this new credit card thing. I had insurance, and now looking back at it Im like..why did they do that? Why not bill my insurance? The whole thing was confusing, and of course I was in tears while in the financial office. I felt taken advantage of. I ***** have time to think about anything. So I end up getting a second opinion a few weeks later at my original dentist, and they were so surprised when I told them what happened. Come to find out I only need fillings and a root canal.
