I purchased a duck on Christmas Eve to have for Christmas dinner. The duck was 6.98 pounds and cost me $62.75. The duck was the only thing I purchased from the shop. When I opened the sealed bag, it became very obvious that the duck had gone bad. I looked at the date on the packaging and saw that it was marked Dec 13. Whether that was the packaging date or the expiration date, that's quite a gap between then and time of purchase. I attempted to contact the shop twice to explain the situation and request a refund, and I left a ****** review also asking the shop to reach out for resolution, and I've still not received a response over a month later. This was supposed to be our Christmas dinner and I'm out over $60 because of the shop's negligence.Customer response

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. This is my fourth attempt at communicating with the business. I'm not really sure what to do next. Small claims court?Business response

Hi ****, sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. We got a call from BBB today but this is the first were hearing of this. Not sure why you werent able to get a hold of us, we are available by phone all days except Sunday by phone at ************. Feel free to swing by the shop whenever you are available and ask for ****** or ******* and we will get you your refund.
