On 6/22/2023 I ordered tile from Floor Magic in ******** *****. I had to cancel the order two days later. The order came from ***** and was enroute the day I canceled so it was delivered to *****. I was told the shipment would be returned to ***** once it was delivered and I was told I would be reimbursed for the amount paid for the tile, which was $497.00. I had to pay for shipping and taxes, therefore I spent a total of $682.95. I understand I have to pay for freight charge and a 30% restocking fee and a return fee of $50.00. The owner of Floor Magic has cut me a check for $210.06, which I believe is not correct. I had a professional book keeper look at the invoice from Floor Magic and I agree with her that I should receive $483.49 back, not $210.06. Thank you for your time.Customer response

In May of 2021 Floor Magic installed carpet in the upstairs of our newly purchased home. We booked a slot according to our closing date a month in advance. Less than a week before they canceled with no rescheduling option knowing we couldnt move in until the carpet was installed. A few days later they did schedule to come out. The install itself is a Frankenstein job with seams all over the place that are already coming unraveled. The worst of which is the tacks poking out of the stairs that continue to cut our feet. *************** came out and determined the carpet was not installed correctly. He has offered to replace the carpet in question with better quality, we have agreed to pay additionally for the rooms not affected by poor install.The disagreement is on payment timing. *************** insists on being paid prior to installation. We insist on waiting until the install is done correctly and we will pay the same day. The original install was in excess of $5000, $886.20 would be owing.Customer response
