In August, 2022 I signed an agreement for the bid for a fence to be installed on my property in *******, *****. The total cost was $16,901. I paid half that when I signed. They began the installation in September. During installation the contractor working on the house told them not to fence the lean-to. They left the lean-to open, so there is a gaping hole in the fence. No one contacted me. I found out when my sister went to the property. Then I receive a bill marking the job as completed and with an additional charge of $380.00 for extra materials . I have paid the original balance due of $8450.50, so now Ive paid the original amount of $16,901. I do not believe I should have to pay the additional $380.00. There is nothing on the bid agreement stating Id be responsible for any overage, plus I have an incomplete fence, so they didnt use all the materials originally indicated.My phone calls and emails are not returned. When I did reach the salesman, we discussed installing a gate, which he said would be done in two weeks and hasnt been done after three weeks. Instead I got a new bid for $2496 for the gate, which is extremely high and wouldnt be done until the end of November weather depending.I am not signing that bid.I want the charge for $380 removed from my account and to receive an invoice marked paid in full. I will deal with the gap in the fence, even though I think they owe me for those materials.
