      A company that is responsible for providing energy to heat a home, cook or have hot water should make a greater effort to supply their product to their customers wherever they live or tell them they don't deliver to such areas as their competitors willingly admit. To take an order and not even have a delivery date 2 months after the initial request is wrong. I'm sure they themselves would have something to say if they couldn't cook, stay warm or have hot water for their homes. I plan to make the public aware of these gross short comings in their service and petition them to consider a different supplier.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

      Our main concern is delivering propane to our customers in a professional and timely manner.  Delivering to customers on ************, that is only accessible by ferry, can be very challenging.  Due to unforeseen issues with the ferry, the terminal ramp, the weather, as well as our schedule here on the mainland, we are unable to have a set schedule to for Island deliveries.   We do make several trips to ************ throughout the year when feasible, and if we were to stop, we would provide our customers plenty of notice.  However, that is not the case.  There were multiple dates that we inquired about but we were unable to make the trip.  March 7, The Ferry, ***************** was down and the replacement ferry was not big enough to carry our truck.  We made the trip March 18.  April 27 and May 31, the ramp needed repairs.  We try to make trips on Fridays.

      Being an Island resident requires that you own your propane tank(s) so that any company can deliver to them, of which there are a few. There is also the option to get more propane capacity, such as a bigger tank or multiple tanks so you dont find yourself in this situation again.  We understand the need to get deliveries from whoever you can.  We only ask that if you make arrangements with us, and get a delivery from another company, that you let us know so we can remove you from our list.  To be the most efficient and keep propane prices down for our customers, we need to make sure that we have enough customers in need of a delivery, to cover the cost of the ferry, (which we divide evenly among all customers receiving deliveries that trip) as well as empty the truck to make the most out of the trip.

      Dismal, unorganized office practices. Failed to give me any notice prior to showing up after I waited on them for a month and called several times asking for tgem to let me know a few days ahead if when they wanted to start. I asked for an estimate for the work when they told me they didnt know how much it was and my very bad decision to let them do anything at my job site. After two visits this resulted in them telling me they couldn't complete any of the work, (after the fact) and then charging me 400$ for their time. The owner of No Frills Oil ******* was completely unresponsive to my complaints and his only answer was to threaten me with court action. I would stay as far away from this company as possible. They jerked me around on their schedule to do this work in late 2020 - delayed it until 2021 and then charged me for no work completed, and made NO effort other than threats to resolve this. Just fyi I also susequently found out that the previous work they did on installing a regulator above ground was not entirely up to code. Terrible office communication - terrible service- terrible technicians- and no respect for the customer whatsoever was my experience.

      Ms. ********************* is simply trying to avoid paying a **** for services she requested and now doesn't want to pay. She never asked for an estimate for the job and wanted it done immediately. We called every time before we went to do work and left messages on the voicemail but were later informed that it didn't matter because she doesn't get cell service down in that area. We had to make multiple trips due to the fact that Ms. ********************* did not have the site ready as she told us it was. Ms. ********************* asked the 2 technicians to do an illegal hook up, that was not up to code and dangerous and they informed her they could not and that it was dangerous. She became very aggressive with them and verbally abusive, using derogatory names and vulgarity. The 2 technicians refused to go back. We can provide emails to show how vulgar she gets. We explained to her that we would not expose our employees to that type of abuse and racism and would no longer continue the work. She was billed for the work that was performed and Ms. ********************* has tried to avoid paying it.WE had never done any service work at this location before this or installed a regulator. The regulator issues must have been from someone else who installed her tank or other work before. I can only imagine why they were no longer willing to do more work for Ms. *********************.I wonder if Ms. ********************* at her business, #Bit O' Magic Equine LLC, in ** *****, has the same disregard for safety and respect for people.I would be glad to share with the BBB copies of the emails where Ms. ********************* wrote of the site not being ready, other work that she was responsible for not being done correctly and where she gets vulgar with the technicians and refuses to have things brought up to code.

      In response to NoFrills reply to my post:1. **** right I don't want to pay -you did nothing towards the job with your time and 4 hours is ridiculous, I did offer to pay two trip charges 200. to be more than fair and you refused it-so on the threat of court the **** is paid and point is moot. But statute of limitations on a lawsuit for unfair business practices is 4 years so think about that.2. You NEVER called a few days out, in spite of my multiple calls prior to your office while waiting and asking you to please give me 3 days and even explained to your "secretary" that I needed the time so I could dig out the site myself- you jerked me around the year before so I had no intentions of digging it open before I had a day scheduled) and again this would not have gone down this way had you done that. And yes my phone is slow at the location- so when you call 30 mins before you show up I can't even cancel you in a timely fashion.3. They did not inform me of the "supposed" illegality until well into the job although I informed them in detail at the VERY start of how the conduit was laid. And the illegality they are barking about is the lack of a yellow tape being laid over the conduit. My site had schedule 40- conduit with long sweeps laid in the ground in sand to run the poly gas pipe through. The conduit and the water lines both were laid in white sand bed and just covered to the top of the conduits with sand. Then 2" of insulation which they stupidly insisted that I needed to tear out to put tape in. YES YES YES ... I told them I was not pulling out my F__cking insulation !! - I subsequently checked into the code with a professional from a competing company and a master plumber and both read code as to require tape to be installed directly above (in location) and within 6" of the depth of the gas line. So installing tape directly over the pipe and within 6" has been completed, and my job is also finished. 3. I have the check stub in a copy from my bank for the payment of the questionable regulator hookup to my generator service line - done by No Frills at the time of the first tank fill up in 2018. I will save it for any lawsuits I pursue.4. Again Again Again........ YES the site was not ready because you cold cocked me with NO notice. AND I have the phone records to prove I made the calls.5. Racist... HAH vulgar yes but unless calling you a "F__CKING A__HOLES" is considered racist then I am not a racist.6. It's so childish and off point to bring my business practices into the conversation ... but Ill bite. Business means you do not have to like me and you do not have to work for me, but if you walk off a job that you were clearly and fully aware of the set up and do it because of personal feelings then you also do not get paid in my book. If you thought the setup was illegal then you should have said no at the beginning. And although it has nothing to do with your poor workmanship and unfair business practices, I have been at my business for 20 years and there is nothing on the internet about me and quite the opposite for No Frills, specifically No Frills in ******************. 6. I MOST certainly did ask both on the phone for an estimate and was told they needed to SEE the job first to give me an estimate and then FIRST thing in the conversation with your tech on the jobsite first visit I asked for an estimate. I was told he would have to "get into it further to see how long it would take". and basically he blew me off on any estimate. Since I did not ask for the estimates in writing that would be a point for court under oath.

      No Frills intalled my propane tanks and a very expensive generator. The generator arrived with a dent, and when I spoke to ************************* he assured me that the dent would not affect the performance. The first time there was a blackout, friends said they heard the generator running, but my power had been off because the clocks on the stove, microwave and an electric clock upstairs had all been stopped. I assumed that the generator worked because my friends had heard the engine running. When we had a major power outtage that lasted several hours, I was there and noted that the generator was running but it did not power the house--which remained without electricity. **** came over to the house and insected the generator and found that a crucial part was malfunctioning and the generator would make noise and burn gas, but would not connect to the power on the house. **** told me that as soon as the part was in he would have it repaired. After several months had gone by, I tried to call and follow up, but his mobile was not taking messages, so I left three messages at the office. I heard nothing back. I called again, and asked that he call me back as I am used to businesses with whom I have spent several thousand dollars taking the time to answer my calls. I also said that without hearing from him, my next step would have to be a lawyer. He called me back immediately and could not have been ***** and more unhelpful. He implied that I was stupid, that I had a "reputation" for being a difficult client (other than the company who put up my modular house, and whom I found to be incredibly unprofessional I know all the contractors I have worked with would disagree) and then fired me from being a client for propane. I am left with a $6000.00 generator that doesn't work, and my reward for choosing to buy both my gas and my generator from this company is to be insulted on the telephone, and fired as a client. What is interesting is the speed with which ******************** got in touch with his lawyer--he has obviously been dealing with unsatisfied clients in great numbers and has his legal counsel on speed dial. I am now in a position where I have a generator that doesn't work and the person who sold it to me believes that customer service is not necessary in any way, shape or form. I would not recommend that anyone do business with this company, and if they do, make sure that any generator they purchase from them is tested in front of them--mine was installed and tested when I was not there so I cannot refute ************************ claim that it "worked when we tested it" is valid, although I am fairly certain after his reaction that it probably was not tested as the only time I have been insulted and scolded by a supplier is when they have been in the wrong. Based on 2 of the 3 comments written here, "nasty" seems to be the word for how ******************** acts with his customers. The one positive comment was probably written by himself, as, with the exception of the pleasant manner of the office staff (which I also found when dealing with them) "Nasty" and abrasive is what to expect when dealing with this operation. I will be relieved when our association comes to an end.

      I have had nothing but great service from No Frills. I bought huge ********************************************* a timely manner and found a way of not running so much copper line which saved me money and took their smaller tank away. They have never let me go dry, for oil or propane, and when I though mistakenly that I was Very low they were here early the next morning the winter. ************* guys are great, the office staff is great to work with.I give them 5 stars.
