Here is what I experienced when I visited that will stay with me. Awesome, individualized fun and meaningful yoga from extremely experienced yoga instructors!! Yoga where I am. Insanely good and comforting meals - yum, yum, yum! Brilliant, deep blue lake with smooth kayaking under a big sky. Hiking within the trees. Horse back riding amid the fragrant spruce and pine. Waterfall symphony among the rocks. Fresh, clean air and water. Cuddles from lovebug pooch and kitties. Big comfy bed in a bright big room. *****, jacuzzi, hot showers. Cozy areas within a historic registry home. Excellent. Fabulous. Exquisite. Soothing.

It's hard to put my experience into words. Everyone there went above and beyond to make sure this retreat was exactly what I needed. They all cared deeply about making the experience perfect for me. We had a good amount of free time, yoga sessions, planned hikes, kayak trips, etc. It was very cool seeing a different part of the country as well as I'm from the West Coast.

We loved having you!! ***** is a great place to ************ with us long time practitioners/teachers and enjoy some self reflection healing time in nature too!

There are so many good things to say about the transformative yoga teacher training at Sewall House. *****/Amrita is genuine, a true yogi, the real deal. She took the time to read my teacher application, and I felt as though she knew me even before I walked in the door. Amrita is an expert who lives and breathes yoga in all its forms, and she generously shares everything she knows. As a Kundalini practitioner who didnt have a lot of experience with the traditional yoga poses, I was concerned that I wouldnt be able to keep up, but Amrita helped me embrace where I am and to grow miraculously, I even overcame the fear of being completely upside down. Since we were a small group, Amrita challenged us to teach three classes each and, while this was initially daunting, the experience was invaluable, especially her specific and constructive feedback besides, the students mixed abilities, interests, and styles made it possible for us to learn from one another. I left the training (which was comprehensive, well-structured, and supplemented with Zoom classes with other teachers, including Dharma Mitra!) feeling confident and ready to teach Kundalini, Restorative, and Nidra. Most importantly, ***** made me feel like I was a member of her family, and she inspired me with her exuberance, her wealth of experience, her stories, and her ability to sense what I needed. The historic Sewall House is a big old cozy thing that became an instant home for me the healing energy there is palpable. I woke every morning at 6 to meditate in the cushy yoga studio, and using the jacuzzi or the sauna before bed was perfect. It was nice to get out during breaks to take in the natural beauty of the charming and uncharted ************. It was such a pleasure as well to meet the interesting guests who came through. Indeed, I hope to return someday to the magic of Sewall House and *************************.

The entire town of ************ seemed to conspire to make our time in ***** truly magical. Our thanks to ***** and all who help to make Sewall House a place of healing, love and a tribute to the beauty of nature.

The Sewall House experience is a harmonious balance between yoga, meditation, nature, nourishment, and positive social interactions. The people that ***** attracts are special and dining with the guests was a surprising highlight to our stay. Her staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable. My husband and I are on opposite sides of the spectrum with yoga. I practice daily while he rarely stretches. Yet we both had an amazing experience! This is testament to ***** for her expertise in tailoring a class for an individual's needs. She is a plethora of knowledge which she shares generously with wisdom, joy, and love. So many interesting stories that she incorporates into her teaching!The format allows for free time in the afternoon to explore the beauty of ***** and reconnect with nature.This experience exceeded my expectations, warmed my soul, and taught me so much!!!Highly recommend a 5 night stay!!!!!
